We had another wonderful stay with Crook Point.
I would like to just point out a few issues from both visits. Our first stay at West Cove back in March had issues with the shower. It was either scalding hot or ice cold. The shower at Lookout worked, but wasn’t clean, had hair and some grime around the edges and the dish washer is in very poor condition. Buttons are broken and the soap dispenser won’t close. The linen in both homes smelled sour like they had sat in the washing machine to long. I actually found some bedding wet in the wash at Lookout when putting the towels in. With a $250 non refundable cleaning fee and the fact that I have to clean, do laundry and dishes before leaving, it’s a bit disappointing.
The views, privacy are superb and the beds are very comfortable! Overall, we have loved both visits and will definitely come again.
It was a great place to unwind and relax with a pretty view. The path to get to the home is a bit of a grade. An all wheel drive or vehicle with average ground clearance can get to and from.
Beautiful home, incredible location and views and very accommodating. Thank you.

Lovely beach home
The house has spectacular ocean views. The road to get to the house is very rough. The house was not very clean upon arrival. Dead bugs on floors and windowsills.
Beautiful ocean views from every window! Very clean, quiet and welcoming. We were even able to watch some whales while we were there.
Was the perfect get away from the busy life! We will be back, it was probably our favorite vacation rental we've stayed at!
Celebrating our 28th anniversary was heaven at Lookout. The house was very clean and well-appointed. The weather was great for our entire stay. The views are breathtaking. The property is located at the end of a private drive, the road is dirt/gravel and somewhat steep, my car spun out and did bottom out in a few places. I would recommend this location and property!! I hope to return for another stay in the future
Such an extraordinary view! Very private! Everything you need!
We had such a relaxing, quiet, peaceful stay. It was absolutely amazing and we will be back!
Had a wonderful babymoon at the Lookout! Sitting by the fire reading and watching/listening to the waves and stormy rain was perfect. We barely left the house except for walks along the longer
stretches of beaches that are a 5-10 minute drive away.
Be prepared to disconnect as Wi-Fi and cell service are very spotty (as per the description).
Only issue is there seems to be places where big flies can come into the house even with all the windows and doors shut. We had to kill 4-5 a day that were loud and often buzzing around the top windows of the house (and thus constantly out of reach to swat). Not a deal breaker, but luckily we are tall and could jump to kill them.
May be our new favorite place on the Oregon coast! Private, gorgeous views, everything you could need. Hard to venture out when the location is so beautiful with non stop views and a wonderful hot tub. Top notch!
The Lookout was a wonderful and relaxing place to stay and unwind for a week. The view is fantastic and the remote location was perfect for a quiet stay. It was easy to get out and explore the area with many beautiful rocky beaches and headlands nearby. The kitchen was perfect for cooking meals. The towns of Gold Beach and Brookings are both 20 minutes away and have grocery stores and interesting restaurants.
I just absolutely adore Kathleen!! The lookout is an amazing getaway!! So beautiful and magical. The views are spectacular. The property is sooooooo fun everywhere u lookout there’s the ocean and all the Douglas firs you can imagine!!!
We had a great and exciting stay. The first night a storm was rocking the place. We have stayed in multiple places along coast and it was memorable. The weather calmed down, sun broke through for some great sunsets. Loved the space and just right for us. Relaxed, sat in the spa, and watched some TV. Reception was spotty but we did not come to watch TV. Sitting right outside and watching for whales.
We had the best week celebrating our 10th anniversary. The home is very modern and clean. The location is amazing. The hot tub over looking the ocean is perfect. We enjoyed the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We’d easily come back again. Kathleen was always very responsive and quick to any of my inquiries.
