"This was an excellent house for our family of 11, ages 2-76. We stayed four nights January 1-5, 2026. Very comfortable, quiet, warm, with plenty for the kids to do inside the house and outside in the snow. Everyone especially enjoyed the game room with ping pong, pool table and pinball machine. The house is very well-equipped, updated, and the host was very helpful. "

"Pinecrest was an ideal winter vacation spot for our family of 13. We came from various places in the US and all were delighted with the facilities to include cleanliness, comfort and location. It was quite magical as Tahoe Vista and surrounding areas had a major snow storm before we arrived - which made playing in the snow a blast! Although we did not ski this time we did visit Northstar Village for an afternoon of walking and sipping hot drinks! Very close by. The host was very kind and available to answer any questions that arrived. I would highly recommend this house for a large family. "

"As advertised, no surprises. We did the after-hours check-in, which was a little unusual, but worked well enough. (Arrive at main office, call number on the door, live person answers and provides you with a lockbox number and the code to get into that box. Walk around to the side of the main office building to find a cupboard full of a dozen or so lock-boxes. Would stay again."

"Home was clean. Plenty of towels and blankets and dishes and kitchen appliances. Appreciated the abundance. "

"Nice cabin and good location, but needs some TLC. The bed is comfortable, but the sofa is trashed and several of the light dimmers no longer work. It would be nice to see it fixed up."
