We loved staying at David’s place. The property is beautiful and there is much to explore there. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. Comfortable beds meant everybody slept well after long days spent hiking, fishing, and grilling on the deck.
Great location very private. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Very clean. Most rentals we have used in the past my wife has to clean to her expectations after check in but not here. Everything you need was there plus. This is our 2nd time renting here and will be coming back again
Well kept property, very clean home with beautiful views. Stocked with everything we needed and very responsive host. Enjoyed many walks on the property with family and several trails to discover. Close to great food and downtown shops.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this secluded cozy cabin nestled in nature and all its beauty. The house was well appointed, very well cleaned, supplied with all we needed, and lots of extras, such as top quality bedding and towels. There were nice areas to walk and we enjoyed fishing in the pond. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend to others.
It’s hard to narrow down the positives of this rental. Nice home, clean, lots of amenities. Loved the trout pond and outdoors games. Our kids ages 9-14 had a great time. Location was great! Looking forward to planning our next trip.
We enjoyed our stay at Maple Gap Cabin. We found the cabin comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed. Exploring the property, taking pictures of the flowers, and natural beauty of the area, including the pond, and rock formations
Went with my dog and spent every day hiking at nearby trails. Very lovely and peaceful. My dog was able to roam and wander the property without any worry. The pond is so nice. The owner is very responsive and helpful. Great place to stay.
It was a very clean, comfortable cabin with lots of space and fresh updates. Great little trout pond in the front yard, trails to hike, and not far from Brevard. Dave was a pleasure to work with and very responsive to our questions during the booking process. I’d highly recommend this property.
Just what we wanted, away from town.. but close enough to enjoy Brevard and hiking in the different parks, waterfalls all day, every day. Host was very nice. We'd go back.. probably think more fishing. The other people staying on the property had great luck catching Rainbow Trout.
This cabin is well located to Brevard and the state parks. Very clean and orderly. Host is outstanding with all information re the surrounding area. The croutons is great my husband and myself had a great time fishing. I give this cabin the highest rating! Host has thought of everything you might need!
We were looking for someplace that was out of the way, but close to a variety of things to do. This property had it all!! Our dog loved being able to roam the property and explore the woods and streams. We were only a 15 minute drive to Brevard and about an hour drive to Asheville. The cabin was roomy and provided everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The front porch was a perfect place to relax with the family. We will definitely be back!
My wife, along with our two dogs, stayed for a week on the property. House was comfy, clean and well-stocked. Host even sent information with all of his favs and assorted things to do. Along with house instructions.
The property is fun to explore and well-kept. The "shop" overlooking the pond, had most any toy available and even a foosball table and table top video games. Nice deck with chairs and tables to enjoy as you wish.
Great vacation and will be happy to return.
Even though we had rainy weather, we really enjoyed staying at this house. It was comfortable, nice to have the garage. The beds were comfortable, there was a strong WiFi signal and good internet speed once you figured out how to connect (wasn’t clear at first). Fished the ponds out front and caught four large rainbow trout the first day! It was a comfortable house to get away and unwind in. Thank you!
We only stayed two nights, but would’ve loved to stay longer. It was peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed the fire pit, sitting on the front porch and fishing. The cabin was everything we could’ve hoped for. The bedding was top notch. The host was great. Communication was easy. He has the place well stocked with anything you could need. Very thoughtful. We were very impressed and can’t wait to go back. It’s also very close to the national forest and if you forget something, it’s only ten minutes from town. It was great to be in such a tranquil spot. I strongly recommend this getaway.
This cabin was perfect for us. It was extremely clean with tons of amenities. The location is quiet, peaceful, close to town and very dog friendly. It is on a beautiful, unique and well-kept piece of property. David was amazing. While we were there, we had a problem come up (that had nothing to do with the cabin). Immediately after I messaged David, he called us and helped us resolve the problem. I also left an item and once it was found it was promptly mailed back to me. I have not one complaint about the cabin. It was absolutely perfect.
One of the best vrbos that we have ever rented. We had the whole place to ourselfs. Most vrbos say everything there but lack a lot of items so we brought a lot of stuff we didnt need. I mean everything but food and clothing was provided. Our dog just loved it there he had a chance to be a dog. We left 2 days early not because of anything wrong but had a bad trip up with air in our truck stop working and did not want to travel on the weekend again. Next time we will go mid week to mid week. and take back rds up. All I can say is the time there was wonderful. Thank you Dave. We are already planning a return trip

Very Dissapointed
We were excited to visit Brevard, NC. We carefully reviewed rental options in the area and thought we made a good choice. While the host was a good communicator and showed concern, it could not change the nature of our experience. The house is very average and there is a road close by that has a decent number of vehicles (many pick-up trucks) traveling at a high speed. The house was infested with fruit flies. My wife and I spent a considerable amount of time trying to eliminate them. We rented for SEVEN NIGHTS, we left after THREE NIGHTS. The host reimbursed us for one NIGHT after negotiating with him.
We are retired and this was our summer vacation. We appreciated the communication from the host but the whole experience was a bust. We were glad to be home.
