"A MUST STAY!!! This was our second visit to Jim Thorpe but our first stay at the Y on Broadway and we will NEVER stay anywhere else!! This boutique hotel is full of charm and warmth from both their magnificent fireplace and staff! Beth took the time to tell me all about the rich history of the building, one of the original YMCA locations in all of the US, and we had the pleasure of meeting Duke, one of the owners, who took me on a private tour to show me the beautifully rustic double bed frames which he built by hand! Each room is exceptionally clean and crisp with meticulous attention to detail (check out the individually unique live edge tables and desks in each room made by a local artisan). The entirety of the Y is packed with all of these small touches which make it a truly unique experience. It is nestled right in the heart of the downtown area with stunning views of Jim Thorpe’s 19th century architecture and of the Poconos which envelop the town. Request the king suite with a balcony spanning the length of the suite which overlooks Broadway!! But don’t forget to ask about the 3rd level basketball court floor still buried beneath the rooms. Thank you for an exceptional stay 💕"
