This property was all that it is described online. We really liked that it worked well for 3 people, and it was well located with easy access to transportation. The owner was great in her communications, and we had no issues with the property other than the coffee maker wasn't working well, maybe it needed descaling. We told the property manager and she said she would attend to it. But it was not working at all during our visit. This apartment is very well equipped for those wishing to prepare their own food.
This apartment being on 4th floor would not be accessible for those with any major disability due too many stairs and small elevator. We were not impacted this way, but those who are disabled should not stay here. While the area is overall good, at night there were some people around that made me feel uncomfortable by their behaviour. The side street where the entrance is on is not extremely well lit at night. I am glad I was not there as a lone woman traveler.
Bordeaux is a very changed city since my last visit over 25 years ago, and while it isn't crime ridden by any means, there seems to be a lot of people who seem transient. My friend who is from Bordeaux and stayed with us while we visited told us that we need to take care with our bags. I guess like a large European cities pickpockets can be anywhere. Bordeaux is a great city with much to offer, and with many day trips in the region as well , it truly is a jewel of a city don't hesitate to go there and enjoy all.
