「Not as advertised; teeny. The photos made it look spacious. The front yard was being raked and seeded for grass when we arrived so there were broken branches on our path. The deck, table and chairs had not been cleaned and we're dirty and covered with leaf litter. The room had no comfy chair, only a floor lamp with a bare bulb. No hooks for hanging anything and no coat hangers. We left to find another place to stay and have been promised a refund that has not come through. Very disappointed!」

「The cottage was great but the check-in was very stressful. Owner did not send email with info until Saturday morning and it went to my Spam folder. No one was on site when I first got there but someone working in the garden got hold of the owner and let me in. Website says check-in was after 3PM but owner said it was 5PM. Needs to update that on website. After a10-hour drive I was not happy.」

「Host communication was excellent. Location was ideal, walkable to the Boothbay Harbor attractions. Nice new wooden floors upstairs with the bedrooms. No AC which was fine for our stay. We must have stayed the first of the season, as the negatives were related to this. The toilets were disgusting with a foul odor and green mold on toilet seats, presumably from 9 months of zero use and the maids not cleaning prior to our arrival. Either way they should be replaced. All else with home was fine.」
