Heather, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. The surrounding areas are enjoyable indeed! As I explained when you contacted me about the issue with cleanliness, you were advised that our regular and highly regarded cleaning team was unable to clean that day. After contacting our back-up cleaners (none of whom were available) we had no choice but to hire a cleaner who was unknown to us. Obviously, that person was a bad choice. We are extremely proud of our 4.8 out of 5 rating and that our property is rated as a premier property. We wouldn't have garnered that rating if the cabin were routinely found in the condition that you experienced. Many of our guests have commented over the years about how delighted they were to enter the cabin and find it in such terrific condition. You did receive my sincerest apology at the time and, as you mentioned, voided the pet fee of $80. As far as the hot tub, it is very well maintained (as is the deck). I don't know how else your fears of a "tragedy" could have been addressed. We thank you for choosing Purple Haze and wish your visit had been 100% satisfactory as it has been for countless guests.
