Lovely staff, great location and clean rooms

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Liberty 1904. The hotel exceeded our expectations- the breakfast was great and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The hotel was located in a calm and quiet area, with only a walking distance to the city centre. While the hotel was very good, it was the staff who made this stay excellent with their their kindness and helpfullness.

Clean, comfortable room. Very friendly staff and a good breakfast buffet. Good location a short walk from City Centre. Bus stop outside hotel with good service to centre and train station / airport monorail. Would certainly return !

The traditional property had a good atmosphere and the staff were friendly. The system of taking a credit card number on booking and only taking the deposit a few days before the stay was nearly very problematic. My card issuer declined the transaction because I wasn't there to do the security checks. I nearly ignored the emails from the hotel about providing another card payment as spam and it was difficult as I was travelling.

We had a fantastic experience at Hotel Liberty. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was extremely clean and they had a great selection of options for breakfast. We took the train from Rome to Bologna and the transfer was an easy bus ride to reach the hotel. The only down side of staying in this area of Bologna is that you are NOT in the city center. It took us about 15-20 minutes or so to walk over to the center and after walking miles in both Rome and Florence we were used to it. We found some very nice restaurants in the area which were away from tourist areas, which were very good. Highly recommend this hotel!

Well Maintained Hotel near Excellent Restaurant

The hotel is located within 25m of a very good restaurant, Baklava. They serve very good Bolognese cuisine and is a must-try if you visit this city. I had a 3rd-floor room facing the courtyard, and it is void of traffic noise. I did not hear ambulance sirens (there is a hospital nearby) during my 2-night stay. The hotel could be reached by city bus* from the Bologna Train Station (Main) - there is another train station, Bologna S. Vitale, which is one station before the Main Station if coming in from Florence. *I mistakenly took an inter-city express bus which dropped me off at Bologna Rimesse stop, a 500m walk to the hotel. This was from a suggestion by a former guest at the hotel who posted his travel experience on this portal. The city bus is located in front of Baklava restaurant.

Frühstück war lecker - sehr gute Auswahl. Die Lage war top. 5-10 min zu Fuß bis ins Zentrum von Bologna. Das Zimmer war für zwei Personen etwas kleinen, für einen kurzen Aufenthalt (bei uns 4 Tage) aber in Ordnung. Die Matratze des Bettes war leider nicht so toll. Nachts hat man jede Bewegung des Partners mitbekommen.

Rigtig god beliggenhed

Fint hotel med rigtig god beliggenhed. Pænt og rent værelse og søde medarbejdere i receptionen. Der er rimeligt meget larm fra gaden, men det vil der nok være de fleste steder. Fin morgenmadsbuffet med stort udvalg. Vi vil bo der igen hvis vi kommer til Bologna en anden gang.

Normales Hotel in guter Lage

Wir waren zwei Nächte im Standard-Doppelzimmer. Das Zimmer war geräumig und für die zwei Nächte passend - es war jedoch schon ein bisschen heruntergewohnt und könnte eine Renovierung gebrauchen. Das Zimmer war sauber und wurde jeden Tag gereinigt. Das Hotel liegt an einer vielbefahrenen Straße, jedoch hat man den Straßenlärm bei geschlossenen Fenstern wirklich gar nicht wahrgenommen. Im Inneren ist das Hotel etwas hellhöriger, sodass man es hört, wenn die Türen der anderen Zimmer geschlossen werden. Die Lage ist wirklich super und man ist in ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß in der „Altstadt“. Frühstück und Service waren sehr gut. Alles in allem für die zwei Nächte ok, vor allem wegen der Lage.
