Rigtig fine værelser og hjælpsomt personale, der snakkede fint engelsk. God hårtørrer klar på badeværelset og der blev gjort rent hver dag. Der var fin minibar og drikkelse, dog var udløbsdatoerne dækket. Rigtig fint hotel med god beliggenhed. Check-in og check-ud var hurtig. Jeg fik desværre ikke prøvet morgenmaden.

Pros -The suite was comfortable and spacious. - The breakfast buffet is very good. Con - We borrowed a blender, and they called our room looking for it after we had returned it. They stated they needed it for the kitchen, and it was the only one they had. Seems like the should by another one.

Many positives -- staff are all VERY nice/helpful, bed comfortable, breakfast excellent, and Stark gym nearby is awesome (Scan QR code in lobby, they have a discount and good price). BUT I had an unfortunate problem...I arrived late due to a cancelled flight. Check-in was smooth until I got to the room. It looked very clean but had a terrible smell (seemed like a pungent combo of body odor and excessive cooking of fragrant food). I went back to front desk immediately -- they did not have another room available but agreed to move me to a new room the next day. I slept 1st night with windows open under blankets, and my clothes and my body smelled of this room in the morning. The hotel staff seemed well aware of the source of the smell! The housekeeping manager was super nice/helpful! She arranged for a new room by 10AM and while it was a significantly smaller suite, it was nice and smelled good! Sadly, I had to negotiate and follow-up 3-times to get a credit for the difference. I paid for a larger suite with balcony and got a much smaller suite for 5 days. Initially, the manager did not think I deserved compensation, but eventually gave a restaurant credit for the price difference (I agreed to downgrade because of the smell, they had no other rooms). Neither room had a desk, but they did provide a VERY small desk upon request (Expedia and hotel website say a desk is included, but it was not standard in either of the 2 suites) All other parts of my stay were great!

HORRIBLE - STAY AWAY!

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE STAY. Please, for your own sake, avoid this hotel at all cost. I booked the Premium Suite, which was supposed to have “sound isolated walls” and it turned into a nightmare. They have a water pump that shakes the rooms every 10 minutes, and even so, we only had hot water for 5 min at a time most of the time. For 4 whole days and nights they had active constructions next door with guys with jack hammers, and we could hear the people talking through these super thin “sound isolated walls”. The internet’s wifi is so restricted that we were unable to work our day jobs properly. The “smart” TV was so cheap and old that the smart functions were completely unusable. The advertised “bicycle rental” isn’t there, and when asked about it they were going to “get back to me about that”, which they never did. I all these cases we complained to the hotel staff without they being able to do anything proper about it and when I asked then to address the manager about this, I never got an answer. I was never asked how my stay was or if they could compensate me in any way, and in the end they rejected it in general. Please do yourself a favor and do not ho to that hotel. It looks good at first, but it’s a door yo misery. - A frequent traveler.

Service was great, kitchen 10/10 in hospitality,aswell as reception. They didn't have the option in the old tvs to log in on any streaming service and when we asked for a chromecast or firestick it took 2 days until it was installed in our room. The chromecast should have been there from day1.

Three stars by global standards and four by bogota levels. Staff is very nice and helpful. Area is safe. Breakfast is decent. Place smells a little damp and sheets are not as clean as we like but it’s way better than most places around. I won’t mind staying again. Just not USA or Europe 4 star level

This was our first time visiting Colombia from the US. Our family of four had a 9 night stay and it was great. Very cozy and clean hotel with a personal touch, the staff made us feel welcome everyday. They offer transportation from the airport to the hotel at a very reasonable rate. Raul, the driver, was extremely professional and communicated with us weeks before we arrived and ended up driving us thru our stay to all of the points of interest we wanted to visit. Breakfast was abundant and excellent and the crew was always attentive to our needs, thumbs up to them. The hotel its tucked in a small street but only a few blocks from the main streets that have everything (all types of restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, bank ATM, Coffe, Mall) all at a walking distance or take one of thousand yellow taxies that are very affordable. Highly recommend Suites/Hotel Vilar for an easy, excellent stay in Bogota.

What an amazing hotel. Super clean, very hospitable and friendly. The breakfast crew was also extremely polite and easy going, no bad complaints here other than high recommendations.
