Charming farm cottage
We had a lovely time. It is on a working farm so be prepared for smells and very narrow roads. We had several encounters with tractors on single lane tracks.

Not what we expected
Property was nice and small. Didn't like the stairs as we also had a dog that didn't like them either. Log burner was dirty and rug in front of it also. Settee had a broken arm. Dog area was a nightmare and the lake stank. Dog got plastered in mud and I did ask if we could hose the dog off as states there was a hose available and needed to ask. Nothing available, so had to take dog in cottage filthy. Definitely lots of noise as a working farm. Never met the owners and very disappointed with that. Won't be back.

Short break
Keepers cottage was lovely. It is absolutely ideal if you have dogs. There is a large enclosed area where your dogs can run plus there are spacious kennels if you need to go out and leave your dogs. We didnt use this as we took our dogs with us but it was great to have this option. The bedroom, toilet, shower room was downstairs and the living room was up the stairs. There was a lovely balcony leading off from the living room where you could enjoy the views, unfortunately we didnt get much use out of this due to the weather not being too good but would be amazing on a nice day/evening. We were visiting the Eden project and this was a perfect location, only a 25 minute drive. I would highly recommend this accommodation. Caroline and John give you your privacy but aren't far away if needed. Thank you so much for all your help with our issues.

Beautiful setting
This is a beautiful setting and a beautiful building. Sadly as you are aloud to take your pets here some people have not been very respect full and as a result there is lots of dog hair around, such as in between the mattress slats and under the cupboards and sofas. The pots and pans are very warn and need replacing. Overall this would be a super place if it had a little TLC. Please don’t be swayed by my review visit and make your own mind up, we would definitely love to revisit if these things were sorted out. Many thanks for a great stay at a great price.

Bailiffs cottage
Upgraded to Bailiff cottage at no extra cost due to owners double booking . So glad they did ! Lovely cottage , very reasonably priced . Good base for us to visit my husband’s family and for them to visit us Liked is so much have booked the last available week in August, so my family can come too.

So Relaxing
We had an amazing time. We had a couple of dilemmas which threatened our entire trip, but the owner and the farm owners were more than happy to help us with which we were so grateful for. You are never more than 30 mins from any beach or activity worth doing. Was so nice to go to sleep listening to the owls and waking up to the cows.

Beautiful Surroundings and Great Location
The farmhouse was ideal. The people on the farm itself were very friendly. Our dog got on very well with the farm dogs. He had a great time playing with them and exhausted himself! It took us a while to get used to the narrow lanes! All in all a great holiday.

Beautiful, peaceful & perfect location.
Great base, everywhere we wanted to visit was generally a 30min drive away. Very relaxed place to stay, great dog field for morning and evening runs, lots of birds to watch & listen to. Owner was very helpful, we had a lovely welcome basket and when our TV didn't work properly the very next day it was replaced, nothing was too much trouble for Caroline. Great kennels if you wish to leave your dog there (but we opted to take our dogs with us). Lanivet has a great little pub with delicious food and a very warm welcome. Lots of local doggy friendly beaches (we love Rock, and Porthcothan best). The keepers cottage, is very compact downstairs but it had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. Upstairs was very well stocked, with sugar, tea bags, fairy liquid, cleaning sponges and tea towels so no need to bring extra from home.. Washing machine was also very handy, and the hairdryer too. Maybe take an extra binliner or 2 for the kitchen. We absolutely loved the peaceful location and room for our kids and dogs to run around freely and safely. Lots of information about the local area and suggested visits is provided by Caroline in a folder (very useful). We will definitely return as we loved every minute. Thankyou.

Lovely property in idyllic setting waking to sunshine and birdsong!
Great location as off the beaten track so quiet with no road noise and very convenient for lots of beaches around Padstow but also not far from Fowey, Polperro and Looe. This is on a working farm so expect the sound of sheep and tractors and enjoy the beautiful countryside.

Cosy & out of the way
Stayed in many rentals over years. We like rural and quiet. Rural it is, quiet mostly. But as advertised its near, very near (outyour window near) to a working farm. So do expect noise. We didnt mind this personally at all. Nor, did we mind the route in and out, some may. Property itself is cosy. Living room really is the kitchen. You could noy call it open plan as small. One of the smaller that we stayed in. But again not a spoiler as we do tend to be out much of the day, as most will. 2 x adults was enough though. With children I would expect it could be quite cramped. Wet room. Is a wetroom. But does the job. Shower weak but does the job. Main bedroom. Quite difficult to move about. Get out of bed and your face is on the wall. But we slept well. Door needs adjusted at bottom as hits floor. Nice views from Balcony which is very nice in the evening. All in all, we have had a great time, and the cottage provided a nice base whilst moving around. Jons fish and chips were amazing. Do try.

Great Little Place, although....
Keepers Cottage. A great little place although there was a broken lamp and a loose fitting in the bathroom. Nothing life threatening. Very dog friendly with a spacious dog excercise area with lake, a warm dog wash and dog drying towel. Clean and tidy. Lots of information provided in the cottage to ensure a good stay. Only contact with Caroline (host) was a text letting us know we could arrive early. This holiday let is on a working farm so you may get woken early. We had noisy sheep at 7am each day and an early oil delivery on another. Well located for Eden Project, Padstow and other attractions. Easy 10 minute drive to Wadebridge for essentials. 3.5/5

Serenity
It was a peaceful stay, just what we needed quiet, it was nice to wake up to animals and our daughter really loved the sheep and ponies. Would love to go back in summer as they have very nice clean beaches.

Really cosy getaway, super dog friendly.
We really loved the coziness and comfort of this home. It's very well equipped, very secure, and has a lovely wood burner which was fabulous for the cold evenings. We were given an upgrade to the larger groom's cottage, which was so thoughtfully, as was the lovely welcome basket. A real super-feature for us was the brilliant enclosed dog exercise are, which our two pups enjoyed so much. A lot of our real was taken up by a wedding, but we had a fantastic couple of outings too.

Peace and tranquility
Loved the location of the property walking around farmlands.Waking up with the sound of cows.Very narrow roads but there is pulling in places if you go slowly .Central for wherever you want to visit.Loved every minute of our stay .

Fantastic week away
We had a fantastic week away with our two sons (aged 8 & 6). The cottage was clean and perfectly equipped for what we needed. It was a really good location for us as we wanted to explore. We did some trekking in Bodmin Moor (the rough tor for a sunset walk and then a day walk to cheesewring and Goliatha falls) and went and explored the northern beaches in particular the seven beaches in the seven bays. We also went to polezeath and had dinner on the way back at Rick steins Cornish arms delicious. The closest beach when we arrived was rock quays and we had a great afternoon there. We also ventured to port Issac one evening and padstow another evening. Great place and great location Caroline was a great host.

Remote location
The experience was very nice. If you want some peace and quiet, a central location and you have a dog this is perfect. Driving can the narrow lanes in Cornwall can be an ordeal, suggest pip your horn on every bend.

Our stay at Keepers Cottage
Myself, my partner and our dog Pip stayed in Keepers Cottage for a week. We loved the cottage. It was great being on the working farm seeing the horses, pigs and cows close up. It was great for Pip with an enclosed yard and a secure field he could run free in. We absolutely loved it even though it might feel remote for some. Only a few miles through the lanes to get to the coast so fur is it really worked.,we had a great stay and would book again.

Lovely getaway
The property is lovely, a little small, but big enough for us. (2 adults and 2 small dogs). The welcome basket was a lovely touch. Everything you need is there for a relaxed stay. The resident dogs are very friendly. The Veranda is lovely but, we couldn't really take advantage of sitting outside on the veranda for too long as the guests staying next-door were very heavy chainsmokers, and I suffer with COPD. That said we had a lovely relaxing stay and would recommend. The property is rural so expect lots of country lanes.

Visiting relatives
The property was very bijoux but had everything you needed, was clean and welcoming and had fantastic facilities for our 2 golden retrievers. A huge paddock for them to run free in and the property itself had slate, easy care floors so we didn't have to worry about the odd wet paw. We will be back next time we come down to Cornwall.

What a great place! I found a large bunch of daffs, some Cornish ginger biscuits, and a lovely balcony on arrival. It was wonderful hearing and seeing the livestock. The walks and drives suggested by my host were spot on. Everything was spotless and I had everything I needed for a lovely break. Thank you.

Perfect Getaway!
This was such an amazing weekend away and the perfect spot for anyone looking for a somewhere different to the hustle and bustle of city life! The property is really secluded and surrounded by natural beauty but not too far away from local sites, shops, restaurants etc. We based here and travelled down to Landsend, St Ives, St Michael's Mount, Eden Project, Port Isaac, Padstow, Polperro and Looe so it was a perfect base to explore all over Cornwall. We took our puppy Meelo with us and I was overwhelmed by how accommodating this was for dogs. A huge separate dog play area was available and outside kennels (we didn't use the kennels as we took Meelo with us on all of our trips). At night, the cottage was so quiet and cosy and the woodburning fire added a real nice touch! There was a huge array of cooking utensils if you plan to cook and a collection of DVDs so we loved snuggling up and watching films in the evening! There was a little balcony which we had hoped to have breakfast on in the morning but it had rained a bit and the furniture was wet but that would be an amazing touch in summer with the views! There was also a really informative information pack if you need some inspiration of things to do. I would 100% recommend and would 100% return to this property. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Dissapointed
Very disappointed with attitude of Caroline the property manager who had previously agreed family staying, using an inflatable mattress, as we had our Daughters wedding, and due to covid restrictions had too rebook several times. Previously booked with home and away. We also booked another flat along from the cottage to provide more room for us all. After receiving an intoxicated phonecall stating that teenagers were staying in the cottage she proceeded to accuse us of misleading her and threatened to throw us out. I asked for the reason and this could not be answered. We arranged to meet the following day, Caroline had an aggressive nature and implied that we were unsavoury people. I am assuming this was due to us laughing in the garden, which was not at a late hour. 8.30pm. we had not seen the children for some time due to covid and them working full time. We have never been treated this way and will not be returning. The property was left in Prestine condition, as we would always do. We felt that photos were necessary ,to be taken on leaving the property ,should we be accused of any other further wrong doings. We did try to book another property following this outburst but due to being August bank holiday, it sadly was not possible.

This property is suitable for 2 adults and 2 children under 12 which I made clear to the guest when she enquired. I prepared the cottage for 2 adults. It will not accommodate a blow up mattress comfortably either which the guest was also aware of. After complaints from the permanent residents at the farm about a party I went over on Saturday morning to discover there were 4 adults staying in the cottage. Vrbo advised me that it would be perfectly within my rights to ask them to leave and that they would do so on my instruction. The guest offered me cash to let them stay which I declined. I took pity on the guests as they were unlikely to find alternative accomodation and they were attending a wedding. I took them some bed linen for the beds that they should not have been using and thought that the problem had been resolved since I received no further complaints.

Great base
We couldn't have wished for anything better, the property was excellent and very well equipped, the exercise area for our dog was excellent and he loved every minute in there, to the point where he didn't want to leave!! The location was excellent as you have the best of both worlds, in the middle of nowhere but near to everywhere. Communication with Caroline was great. Would highly recommend this property.

Amazing!!!
The location is stunning, and the cottage was beautiful and very clean when we arrived. It was well equipped and had everything we needed. Our dogs very much enjoyed the facilities including the field, which was totally enclosed and safe to leave them to burn off some energy We would highly recommend this property for dog owners or non dog owners alike, and are looking forward to returning

If you have dogs then this is the place to stay! Everything is there and more. The cottage although small was spotless and pretty much everything for humans was there too. It’s on a working farm but very quiet, it was wonderful listening to the cows mooing and the owls at night. If you want to escape or do lots then this is the place! Just be aware there are some very narrow roads to get there

Long weekend at keeper's cottage
I stayed here with my two sons and dog. I loved the central location between the north and south coast so a good base for those that like to move around. Sitting out on the balcony and enjoying the views with a cup of tea was great! Caroline was a great host and got back to me very quickly on text when I had any questions (though perhaps read the orange folder as the information is all in there). I recommend the Camel Trail Tea Rooms just a short drive away. The dog paddock is a great size and the accommodation well thought out for families with dogs. There were lots of helpful things in the cottage and the storage area; cleaning products, washing up liquid etc. and the barn the kennel is in has lots of space - to hang wet suits/store buckets and spades etc. We also made use of the body boards which were available to be borrowed. As it says in the adverts - the bunk beds are small. Things that people might want to consider are tall men might bang their heads in this place and the bathroom is a small wetroom but for my family and stay it was perfect!

Lovely short break
We stayed in the cottage with two children aged 4 & 1 and our dog. The cottage was well equipped and clean and we had a lovely stay. The layout wasn’t really ideal for a 1 year old but the hosts were very helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend this place for a short break.
