My favourite photo from a visit to Bodie Ghost Town, California, last summer. It is said that a visitor who dares to remove any artifact from the former gold mining town will be plagued by the dreaded “curse of Bodie.” #details

Truck Bodie State Historic Park California
Bodie is the most realistic western ghost town in California. The remaining buildings remain as they were abandoned and the park is in a state of natural decay. Furniture, medical products of the time, and stocked goods within the buildings remain in place as they were in the gold rush era. It's almost as if everyone left the town at once without looking back. To add to the mystique, The roads change to dirt as one approaches the town. #History Bodie was a gold mining town that boomed to 10,000 persons at its hight in the late 1800s. After editing and posting this photo, I became interested in revisiting and experiencing the summer nighttime ghost tours.

5 star amenities but not ( star service. Late room cleans. Thin walls. Can’t get service by the pool need to order on app and collect from restaurant. Very strange

This historic place is so emotionnal ... the life has stopped here  in 1962 and everything stays intact ... very interesting !
