We had the best time and had a great stay at Jack Bear's cabin!! This cabin is so cute and quaint and exactly what my little family of 4 needed for our stay in Blue Ridge!! The cabin is so clean and looks just as pictured! We didn't realize though how far back in the woods the cabin was, and how the road leading to it would be. Just be prepared to go through a tiny gravel mountain road with lots of hills, twist and turns. And while this cabin is great and perfect, you have to allow at least 20-30 minutes from it to get anywhere in Blue Ridge or to do any of the activities around the area. Everything is just so spread out!! We did try to find the trail that is talked about in the listing to get to the river for our kids to play but it was not clearly marked at all and so we didn't get to play much around our cabin like we thought we would. They need to clearly mark a trail to hike to get to the river because it isn't far at all from the cabin it's just not a great walk if you try and find it. We would definitely stay here again but also wouldn't mind staying somewhere closer to town and more on the river for kids to play!!

Great weekend getaway

The cabin was great! We came up for a weekend getaway without the kids. The back porch fireplace and hot tub were are favorite parts of the cabin. The community has a trail to hike to see the river. It has enough privacy, but is still close to town.

Beautiful secluded cabin !

This cabin was absolutely beautiful! The cabin was clean as well as well-equipped with kitchen supplies and games. We loved how cozy everything was. The location is secluded and lets the stars shine bright at night. We saw many deer families each day. We had to call for maintenance on an issues for refrigerator and the turnaround for the repair was swift. We had constant communication and fast responses. This trip was perfect. I only wish our trip was longer. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful place. We will be back very soon!

Very cozy and quaint

Tiny bedrooms, but comfy beds and comfortable living space with plenty of seating, well stocked and functional kitchen. Nice location in the woods with jacuzzi for four, walking distance from the river, and lovely outdoor covered porch and fireplace, perfect for roasting marshmallows, neighbors not too close. Easy to find and access and conveniently positioned 30 minutes from cute town of Blue Ridge. Nice attention to details!

Weekend getaway

This cabin was everything we were looking for and more for our little weekend getaway. It had everything we needed, all we had to pack were clothes and snacks! We will be back!

Relaxing

Enjoying was great. Cabin was clean and everything was as described. Only thing that I was disappointed in was I couldn’t get a late check out. 10am checkout is too early for me.

Birthday weekend

Very peaceful and away from busyness of work etc. Enjoyed the hot tub each night even with outdoor temps in the 20s. Felt especially good after 8 mile hilly hike. Property was as described. Would definitely rent again

So cozy!

We had a wonderful time relaxing during our get away! This cabin has so much charm. Very cozy for our days in as it was below freezing for most of our stay. But we had everything we needed and the heat kept up great to keep us nice and warm.

In The Woods

Really clean and nicely furnished cabin. Spent most of our time out on the porch in front of the fireplace. Watched and listened to the wild life around us. Heard a pack of coyotes, saw deer and squirrels running by the cabin. A great place to relax and take it easy. Not so far out that you have to travel a long distance to get back to civilization. Blueridge was only about a 30-40 minute drive. It has already been suggested by our friends we do it again next fall.

A Wonderful Retreat

We absolutely loved this cabin. It was remote enough to feel like we were away from the hustle and bustle of the world yet close enough to civilization to feel safe and make trips to hike, tube, shop and go white water rafting. The cabin is so cozy and comfortable and the décor is lovely. The owners really have spent time making it special. It feels like a home and not a rental property. Very clean and well stocked. Great Wifi and TV streaming. The best part was the porch where we spent most of our time - relaxing in the hammock, listening to music by the fire, sipping coffee in the rocking chairs, eating and playing games at the picnic table and soaking in the hot tub. We had a wonderful vacation and definitely plan to return to Jack Bear's Cabin!

Very nice and clean

The property was very clean and cozy. The dryer was broke so we were diappointed bra cause we went there to go fishing so we were unable to clean our clothes. The roads are a little rough in some areas . It had everything you could ask for . Very clean .

Great little place

The place is really nice. The rooms are small but we spent all our time on the huge gorgeous deck. The outside area with the fireplace is the place to be. The picnic table is great for family games and dining. We loved the weather in April it was really nice. The hot tub gets hot real quick and it’s nice that it’s right there with the rest of the deck so that everyone is included as the hang out spot. Great place for a great price. Highly recommend.

Anniversary Trip

Great cabin for a quiet anniversary getaway. Cabin was just as described, but two suggestions: 1. Make the fireplace in the house real (remove the gas logs) 2. Put a TV outside above that fireplace so you can enjoy the awesome deck while watching football.

Great getaway

Overall we had an amazing stay, the only disadvantages that occurred during our stay 1. The code for the door didn’t work but after a 25 minute phone call we were able to get in 2. The kitchen lights came on once, after we turned them off they wouldn’t come back on after that, but the other lighting made it to were we could still see 3. The realtor came knocking on the door at 7 at night stating he didn’t realized it had been rented out, as secluded as the area was that was actually very creepy. Even with those 3 things we would still return for another trip
