"Really cozy, nice place"

"Communication was very good. Driveway is dirt and gravel and due to the warm weather it was muddy in spots. Both our 4 wheel drive vehicles did fine. Many updates to kitchen and well stocked. The cabin is a little dated but clean. Beds were great. Nice big eating table and comfortable living room furniture. A coat of paint on the walls would brighten up the place and replacing the shag carpeting with wood flooring would make a big improvement. Didn’t like that the cellar didn’t have a door on the main floor but it looks like there was a wood or coal stove in the basement at one time and probably heated the whole place so that would explain the open staircase. We were very comfortable with the forced hot air. Bathrooms recently upgraded and plenty of hot water. "

Andrew is always so attentive and helpful with anything we need. The sounds of the creek, the short hikes to the lake, and the breathtaking view of the forest are just what we love. We’re planning to keep coming to Big Al’s for years to come, and we’re already thinking about bringing our son along on our next trip. "
