"Can't beat the location and the room was just what we needed."

"The Hyatt Place Bloomington is a clean and nice facility with many good amenities and a friendly staff. Its located in downtown near many good restaurants, places to drink, shopping and more. However, if you're not familiar with downtown Bloomington then you'll quickly realize this is located on a very busy street in the heart of downtown and right above a late night bar. So, the noise level is high until 2-3am when the bar closes, drunk people leave and road noise subsides. Additionally, the noise inside the hotel is almost as bad, from the very loud AC units/ to mini fridges humming all night/ to thin walls and disrespectful patrons. And, as nice as it is to have breakfast included this is not one that anyone will write home about with exception of maybe the French toast sticks that were fairly tasty without syrup. Go elsewhere for coffee. Lastly, and probably worst of all, was how horrible the bed was. I upgraded to a high floor room and got a King bed that I sunk into and could feel the springs like it was a pull-out couch mattress. The worn springs made noise from any movement. I definitely did not get a good sleep any of the nights. I likely could have asked to move rooms and expect improved accommodations but the effort to move and get equal or worse wasnt worth it for 3nts. I just won't be coming back to this hotel. Good luck if you stay here."

"It is a really cute boutique hotel (not a big chain) with wonderful warm and welcoming staff. Keep in mind that this is an older place with lots of history. The place is well maintained and clean. But it is not 100% perfect like a big chain. We were surprised by how quiet it was. The place was full when we were there. We could hear guests opening and closing their doors, but everyone was very respectful of their neighbors. You get a different treat (cookies) every day and they are delicious. Breakfast is awesome. Some warm options, different kinds of breads, yogurts, fruits. Plenty of parking spaces. Walkable to downtown where you have many food options for lunch or dinner. The only negative was the AC is a bit loud. Not much of an issue for us because we are used to live without it but those who can’t pick your poison(heat or noice 😉) Enjoy your stay there. For us, it made a great difference in our stay in Bloomington."

"The property was very clean. The rooms were clean when I got there and went to my room. There was no TV service and I approached them about it and I said we do not know if it’ll be a few days or weeks. The dish network has went out and they’re trying to find out the problem. The nice thing is they did have the TV service back up after 2 1/2 days and they switched me to a room that had the TV service unfortunately after they fix the TV service some reason the Internet service went down so you had no access to the Internet the last 2 1/2 days to all fairness to them. It wasn’t exactly their problem. It was their TV and Internet provider problem but yet it was very unhelpful for people that were there as I was not having access to TV or Internet, but when it came to check out, they were very nice and the management gave a 50% off for the five day stay I was there. Would I go back and stay there? Yes I would."

"The curtains did not close the whole way to be closed. No elevator but said they did we needed assistance with getting to the 3rd floor. So after mentioning it to them they gave us a first floor room. Didn't look real clean in the room. They were doing maintenance to the property which should the attempt to improve."
