If you plan to stay there be awhere food is not readily available. There was a Mexican restaurant, sort of a dairy queen, subway, Caseys and a Southfork restaurant none of which I tried.

The hotel was clean and quiet, and overall it was a nice stay. Very conveniently located in Bloomfield. But we had some issues with room card keys 'de-activating' and needing repeated reprogramming, plus the front desk wasn't typically occupied – so we had a few times when help wasn't available. ...

We were a bit skeptical pulling in, as the hotel’s exterior has a dated, 1980s budget-motel vibe. The driveway is shared with a semi-truck parking area and is quite rough with several large potholes, so take it slow! However, once we were inside, the experience shifted for the better. My second time staying at the Steckel carriage house and will look to stay there again when I am back in the Bloomfield area. Highly recommend to any family or couple visiting in the area!
