Major renovations needed at the facility . Leaking roof on the walk paths and lounge area with pools of water during rain fall , so there was no way to really enjoy the hotel common areas as we were a party of 3 .Slips and falls are at high risk . Rooms were clean ( bath room lacked sufficient towels ) . Check in and check out were hassle free. Breakfast was okay with an omelette station. Unless there’s some major changes / update / repairs to property I will not return.

This facility offers truly beautiful surroundings and impressive views, creating an environment with strong potential. However, the property would benefit from targeted investment to address several infrastructure issues that affect the overall guest experience. I hesitated to provide this feedback because the staff were exceptionally courteous, attentive, and consistently went out of their way to accommodate us. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality stood out. Despite the facility’s current limitations, the quality of service and the overall atmosphere were positive enough that I would choose to return.

Room was in good condition. Staff were extremely friendly and courteous and worked as best as they could within a the many flaws of the hotel. Ice machine broken, bar unmanned, room service every other day, ineffective communication between room and front desk (had to use WhatsApp) no tv (had to use your personal streaming like Netflix) and when it wasn’t working, no maintenance available until 11:00 pm that night. No food available at beach front bar on the first day. Shout out to Jamal who went over and beyond to accommodate for the flaws and made the stay bearable. Sad to see such a previously prestigious site in this condition.

Overall I probably won’t stay at this hotel again. Everything I wanted I had to get myself at the reception (towels…etc). The staff was lukewarm at best. Not that friendly. Additionally, while the property obviously was amazing in its day, it’s a little dated, and not well maintained. The main areas seemed deserted, and we only saw a handful of guests during our stay there. The best part of our stay was the beach. It was amazing. The water was serene and clean. Not crowded. As a member of the hotel you were provided a chair (no towels). There was a bar that opened later in the morning, and food was prepared at the canteen. The location is perfect.

This hotel was terrible. First, the toilet seat was not fastened properly and it kept slipping off the toilet. The tv was not working, when it was on the screen showed a box stating “weak signal “. The tiles on the pathway to the beach was full of moss and slippery. The room had a musty odor and the room was not cleaned for the duration of our stay. When we reported the problem with the tv, the front desk replied that there was no one available to check it out because it was the weekend. However, we had breakfast at the hotel and it was very good. They also found a rental car for us even though it was a holiday weekend.

There needs to be many improvements. The rooms were okay but no regular housekeeping occurred and tv service/wi-fi did not work. Staff were friendly but there was not nearly enough staff and you could tell it was very hard for them to keep up with basic services. The pool was nice but there was never a bartender at the swim up bar so hard to enjoy it for too long. I could tell that this was once a beautiful resort but it is falling apart. So sad to see. Unfortunately, unless there were major improvements made, I would not stay at Mt. Irvine again and would not recommend it to others.

The television in the room did not work & we were told that there was an issue with the cable company .However, there should have been a back up plan so we could have watched local Channels at least. The resort is very expansive and has a nice cool and relaxing atmosphere to it. Some of the cottages appear a little run down but the grounds are well taken care of and the plants well manicured. The pool is huge and the depth good enough for swimming and relaxing. For the dates we stayed at the resort, I believe we were the only guests. Some areas are poorly lit in the night making the walk to the rooms a little eerie. The beds in our initial room were not very comfortable. The staff did well to respond to our concern and provided us with an upgraded room although the beds were only slightly improved. Special mention to Anishka (I believe that's her name) at front desk who attended to our every need, and to Dion as well. The bartender, Joel, at the swim up bar was very attentive and friendly. We took the b/fast, lunch and dinner package and the meals were sufficient. Lunch at the 1763 restaurant was great and the staff very friendly. To get to this resort and move around easily it is recommended to rent a vehicle.

The team at the Sugar Mill restaurant were all pleasant, courteous, and customer service oriented. I also appreciated My. Irvine Bay Resort’s efforts at communicating the issues with the water service interruptions, and their frequent personal check-ins to see if we had any concerns. We also appreciated the invitation to the Management Cocktail hour and their attempt to get to know us on a personal level and another opportunity to address concerns. We were extremely impressed with the young and smart management team we interacted with. We believe that they will bring new and innovative ideas by “thinking outside the box” and make the resort a success, if given the opportunity. The Mt Irvine Bay Resort team were also very responsive to my questions via chat prior to our trip. However, I wish there was better communication and transparency about the operations of transportation to and from the airport and the Spa services that are provided on the property. In communicating with the hotel, I was told via chat that “the service charge will be applied to your resort account for payment prior to your checkout.” But, this was not the case as the taxi fee turned out to be a cash transaction between ourselves and the driver. And, when I inquired about Spa services, it also turned out to be a cash transaction because it was separate from the resort. All in all, we enjoyed the warmth of the Mt. Irvine Bay Resort team and their commitment to making our stay as enjoyable as possible.

Ehen we arrived the property appeared abandoned. We saw mo one except someone at the front counter. We arrived around 1pm and eas told check in is at 3pm. Left and returned at around 3.30pm. Someone met us in the card carport and mentioned something about no power and we were relocated to Starfish Hotel. Which is a less expensive hotel.
