"It was like staying at a resort. The receptionist accidentally re-charged me for the same booking- which when I inquired about later since it exceeded the typical hold for damages the receptionist was friendly and helpful, and immediately refunded the money. They used keys instead of updated key pads. There was no lotion in the room which is not a huge deal. I bring my own supplies. Breakfast I was told was at 7 for grab and go and 7:30 for hot food. It was actually 7:30 8 a.m. for hot food. I didn't mind I just sat and waited the view by the windows was breathtaking. The only other thing that I would say is check the website for activities they admit that's the best way for accuracy. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. The view from the lakefront hotel was beautiful. The beach was small and private. I loved the hiking trails, and quiet atmosphere. I would recommend this to a friend. Oh, there is wifi, but there was no television in the room, or microwaves. The restaurant was also not open, and there were limited places to go to eat. So be prepared. :) The parking lot was also limited, and it took me a few minutes to find where our room was, the buttons for handicapped also didn't work. Nothing to deter me from coming back. "

"This was just wonderful! The house is away from everything on a wooded property, beautiful area. We loved the seclusion. There are 2 houses on the property with the front house occupied by the host’s parents. Very nice people. Lovable small dog, too! Bonus for dog pets and getting to feed the 2 horses. The house sleeps a lot of people, up to 8, but it was just the two of us, so plenty of room. There is one walk through bedroom downstairs which has a trundle bed in it but the bathroom downstairs is a half bath. This means that this is not the best property for someone who can’t navigate stairs. There is a ramp to get into the house if needed. The kitchen really is fully equipped! We made 4 dinners there during our stay, with no issues. Plenty of pots, pans, serving dishes, mugs, glasses and various kitchen tools including a colander and a garlic press. We were very grateful for the food! The host left us eggs, bread, butter and milk. This saved us a trip to the grocery store. We also were given a gift of honey and maple syrup, always lovely to have. We were very comfortable at the house. Plenty of towels, bedding and extra blankets. Bathroom does not have a lot of counter space, but there was lots of space in the medicine cabinet for all my cosmetics. Heads up—if you have any tall guests in your party, be aware of your head going up the steep, narrow stairs. Safe but tight. 2 queen beds upstairs and trundle in hall. Great place, wonderful stay!"

"Everything seemed great. Then the property owner kept pushing me to create a review. As soon as I completed the review she put in for an insurance claim. She told us about a red latch on the hot tub. We went out of our way to make sure we understood how this latched worked. She accused us of breaking it which we did not do. She claimed she just happened to have the part in stock and already replaced it. "
