One of the staff..
It was a nice room, clean and big. The AC didn’t work in my room so had to change the room. The reception lady brought the cart and just stood there as I had to load all the baggage I had to repack for the move. After the load she just opened one door before the elevator and left. I had to move the cart to a different level to my new room myself, having difficulty opening multiple doors. The first room was so hot I told the reception lady I wasn’t feeling well because of it. She probably thought I had Covid or something she seems she wanted to stay as far as she could away from me?? I don’t know but really disappointed. The new room didn’t have a good AC also. Probably central AC but really should do something about it. The key card didn’t open the gym room don’t know why. Breakfast was good.

スイートルームに宿泊したのに、バスタブにお湯をはったら、ほこりが浮いてきた。バスルームにシェービング専用のコンセプトしたなく不便。深夜消灯中に、電気がカチカチビリビリ音がして灯りがチカチカ光ったりして、毎晩怖い思いをした。セーフティボックスが古くすぎて、使い方がわからない。今時見たこともないものだった。

駅近で快適なホテル
中央駅のニュー・ストリート駅から一駅目のムーア・ストリート駅が最寄り駅ですがニュー・ストリート駅からホテルまで徒歩圏内で、ストラトフォード・アポン・エイヴォンの日帰り観光の起点はムーア駅なので何かと便利です。 スタッフの対応も良く、今回はスイートルームを利用しましたがバスルームにもテレビがあり、良い香りのバスソルトも用意されていて快適でした。

Cant fault the hotel at all. The surrounding area is not so good and trying to park is difficult. A lot of the car parks are closed.

Rooms are stuffy and AC doesn’t work
Awful experience. They centrally turn off the air conditioning in the rooms which means you cannot adjust it. After the first night I complained on three occasions as the room was stuffy. After the third occasion of complaining they said the system was broken and offered to change room at 22.30 at night. Not sure why they couldn’t have offered to do that at 9.30 in the morning when I first complained and at 18.00 when I complained again or at 22.00 after they made me wait another 30 mins to then confirm they couldn’t fix it.

Came at 4pm and one of our room not ready although we had check-in online and keys supposed to be ready at 3pm. The front office said the check in is ‘from’ 3pm and ‘not’ at 3pm. That’s the most stupid excuse I ever heard from such a 4-star hotel! After made a complaint then they reassigned another room immediately. When I entered the room, the towel only prepared for 1 person in both of our rooms and we booked 1 double room and 1 triple room so total for 5 person. No amenities in the room, phone is broken. Not such 4 star quality. Breakfast was fantastic though. That’s the only one we like in this hotel. Everything else are overrated. Staff in front office needs more training for hospitality. They only handed us 1 keycard for every room and that’s it. No explanation or guidance of where to go etc. Not even smiling at us. Won’t be back again.

One of the best hotels in Birmingham, it’s always clean and feels comfortable. The front desk team are all excellent whatever time of day and are always on hand to help.

they are very keen on heir money. pay before any service and than pay again. they tried to bill me twice several times. You have to check everything. we stayed 3 nights there. they sell the hotel with parking but there isn't. you have to walk 1/2 a mile to a public parking (expensive). it was raining for 3 days, they don't even offer umbrellas... it took 20 minutes to get checked in and 20 to check out. their admin sucks. our room wasn't very clean, house keeping came and didn't remove used glasses etc,... don't dine there, the food is horrible.

Handy 1 night city hotel
We were on here for one night. The room was clean and a good size. The bathroom was okay - the door frame inside was split and the shower head wasn’t working too well. We ordered room service later in the evening but the person we spoke to didn’t think we could have food in our room initially. We did however have a really great plant based burger and fries in the end and it was delicious. Location is great as the hotel is walking distance to everything in the centre of Birmingham. It’s a handy one night city break hotel and we would stay there again.

Great base for exploring Birmingham
Chose the Clayton for its location very easy walk into the centre, 3 minutes to Moor Street for the train to Stratford,8 minutes to New Street. It did not disappoint ; being on the edge of the city centre was a bonus with the open outlook from the bedroom window. Very comfortable accommodation, super shower,and great breakfast.
