"Just returned from a wonderful stay at Chez Mathilde near Verdun. Annie, our host, was absolutely lovely — so welcoming and friendly, and she even treated us to delicious homemade goodies. The house itself was amazing, full of character with beautiful traditional features and immaculate furnishings throughout. It really felt like a home away from home. The area is fantastic too, with so much history to explore, especially the WWI sites nearby. We’d highly recommend Chez Mathilde to anyone...

"We stayed with our dog in Dannevoux from 27/12 - 01-01 to escape the fireworks in Holland and we had a perfect stay. The house has really everything you need; dishwasher, washing machine, fast wifi and a comfortable bed. The house is located in a quiet village with footpads leading into the countryside and woods. Verdun and other places of interest regarding WW1 are nearby. We would love to stay again!!"

"Mooi oud huis, wat sfeer heeft. Wat zou het fijn zijn geweest als het ook schoon was geweest. Bij aankomst flink aan het schoonmaken geweest. Eettafel en stoelen zaten nog helemaal onder de kruimels. Schimmel stond in het deksel van de pedaalemmer. Badkamers en toiletten laten aan hygiëne veel te wensen over. Onderleggers en kussens op de bedden met vlekken. Nog veel stof op nachtkastjes, vensterbanken enz.enz . Te kleine lakens voor de bedden. Dit alles was erg jammer, daar er toch genoeg voor...
