Lovely place, people and rooms which were very comfy and clean, team were very welcoming and friendly and the food in the pub is excellent. I missed the breakfast so can't say how good it was. The area around the place is stunning!
Fabulous hotel, lovely, big comfy bed, great food and very friendly locals.
Staff were lovely and we were lucky to have some great live music from Billy.
We will definitely be back for a longer stay.
This is a perfect place to stay when travelling and to break up the journey. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The room was excellent, quiet and comfortable and the fact that we could take our well behaved dog was why we chose to stay. The bar and dining options available make this a great place to stay. 5 star breakfast and evening meal.
Nice hotel, listed building so original. Our room was spacious, clean and pleasant. The pub meals (part of the hotel), are nicely cooked. We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all really friendly and helpful.
Great stay at the Hopetoun Arms. Super staff and service throughout our stay, everyone was friendly and made us feel very welcome. The room was very comfortable and spacious, never been in a room with such a huge bathroom. Meals in the pub were excellent and efficiently served. Overall a very good stay, value for money excellent.
Hotel is clean, warm and friendly with some breathtaking walks close to the hotel. Exceptionally dog friendly staff who all made a fuss of our pet. Would definitely recommend.

Average hotel, staff were friendly. Shortened evening menu, no haggis neeps and tatties!
They forgot one of the three dinners we ordered so when it eventually came the other two had finished.
Bed was uncomfortable.
Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.
Our dog was bought water and sausages for her breakfast. Waitress very attentive.
Overall a very average stay in a hotel that looked Very nice in the pictures. Location is lovely.
Friendly staff and newly decorated comfortable room. We had a great night in the bar with the locals. We did eat in the bar, and the food was very tasty. We did have a dog with us and he was also made to feel welcome with a doggy welcome pack, which was a nice touch.
People were lovely. Building was lovely. Unfortunately as we were taken to our room we were told not to use the bath as it doesn’t work. The tv also worked intermittently which they knew about. So we paid full price for a room they knew had issues?! That aside, cleanliness was pretty poor and the bed mattress had seen better days.
But the staff were really nice.
This was our first night in Scotland and they set the bar very high with the accomodations, hospitality (Sarah was amazing!), food, and the comfort and cleanliness of the room. The pub served amazing food. We had our first sample of haggis bon bons and we're blown away. No where came close the next 10 days of our trip across the country. And don't pass on the crumble dessert with custard. It was the perfect stay.

A must
Lovely hotel. Room v clean and warm. Staff took the time to talk to me and make me feel welcome. I was travelling alone. Food v good too.
Only one negative was the mattresses in room one. Definitely need replacing far too soft and bent in in the middle. This is easily rectifiable. Could be my personal taste though. Room was very nice.
Would definitely stay here again.
We had a great stay in the family room with our dog. A lovely location, with beautiful views and walks from the doorstep. Check in was easy and breakfast was good with excellent service.
