"The cottage was gorgeous, in a lovely quiet location and parking at the back. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. We only stayed a night but it had almost everything you'd need for a stay. A bit of soap in the bathroom and teatowel/towel and washing up liquid in the kitchen with some milk for a cuppa when you arrive would have made it perfect. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.Although no parking is available outside the front of the cottage, we had no problem parking in the road outside under the bridge as suggested. "Great hotel stay. Really friendly and helpful staff. Very good room..Aircon worked well, comfy bed, good furnishing. Only issue for me was they kept running out of eggs at breakfast, which was irritating for people like me, who don't eat meat. Other people clearly annoyed by this also. Why didn't they get enough eggs...seemed like they were on rations"

"We stayed in the White Swan part of the lodge which is said to be 100 meters from main building. I was expecting this to be in the grounds but it is a walk down the main road which was having road works done so difficult with cases and having to walk on the road. The room itself was clean and large. The restaurant back in the main lodge was small and quaint. The menu was your basic foods such as lasagna or roast dinner all served by a lovely young waitress. Staff were all extremely helpful."

"The double room was clean & fresh but the 'standard' size double bed does not compare well with the more usual 'queen' size provided in hotels in this price range. The staff were brilliant ambassadors for the hotel - Maisie & Jenny in particular - always attentive, always happy to engage with guests, always thinking ahead to anticipate the needs of their guests. The hotel is set well back from the nearby road and there was absolutely no intrusive traffic, or any other, noise to disturb our visit. Parking was extensive and conveniently located."
