The apartment has been painstakingly renovated by an award winning architect and builder with beautiful finishes and furnishings. Pride of ownership and attention to detail is very apparent.

50th Anniversary trip

We have stayed at this property numerous times. The owner is easy to communicate with. The property is very clean and the location is an easy walk to downtown or South Beach. We rode our bikes to Van Buren State Park right from property via the easy tofollow bike trails.

This was the absolute perfect place to stay for our first time in South Haven! The location couldn't be better - so close to the water, all the boats, the beach, the downtown. We walked everywhere! Exactly what we needed!

We arrived to a very clean and quaint place to stay for two nights! There was so much natural light and the deck area was a nice extra space!! The location was perfect - only a block or two from the downtown as well as the marina where you could watch the boats go in and out towards the lake. We could not have asked for anything better!! We really appreciate the attention to details and especially a clean place to stay!

Heaven at the beach!

Loved our time at the Michiana, sweet and clean and everything we needed for our weekend getaway. Owners have taken much pride in making this little home a slice of heaven at the beach!! Very close to town and to the beach. We rode our bikes everywhere. Owners were great to work with and we are already looking at our schedules to see when we can come back!

Great location

Came up for a short overnight road trip to the town of South Haven, and this place is perfectly located right between the beach and the shops/restaurants/downtown area! Once you arrive you can walk to just about anything in the heart of the town you'd want to enjoy. Nice clean apartment to stay in. Did not cook or anything in the kitchen but everything seemed like this place would be great and practical for an extended stay as well. Only one down note purely due to personal preference - the bed is really firm - this worked out great for my girlfriend, not so much for me who needs as much cushion as possible.

Cute place!

My wife and I rented this place for a getaway weekend. The place was very updated and clean. The location (close to the beach and downtown) was geat as well. Communication with the owner was awsome! The only suggestion I have is the TV could be updated. It is not a smart tv, so you cant choose to watch Netflix or other streaming services. It's still 5 stars though, and I would stay there again if in the area.

Great Location but needs some attention

We had a great time in South Haven and the property is a great location. We did have a few issues including the smoke detector going off constantly when only preheating the oven to prepare dinner, lower cabinet door in kitchen fell off, a rhythmic squeaking noise that we think was coming from a washing machine went on for a good hour twice during our stay. Love the property but just needs to attention.

Great weekend getaway!

We headed up to South Haven for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of life in Chicago. We really enjoyed our stay at the Michiana! The condo was adorable, very clean, and the location cannot be beat. While we were there in the off season (which we enjoyed as it was incredibly quiet and peaceful), I can imagine that this location would be especially convenient in the summer months as it is a few short blocks from both the town and beach. The owner was very easy to work with as he responded to questions promply, called us the day of our arrival, and sent a personal email with recommendations for the area. There were a few things missing in the kitchen, however the owner asked us on his own to let him know if there was anything missing or anything that could have made our stay better. He was also available by phone and text throughout our stay. The unit was updated and thoughtfully decorated to reflect a beach theme. I would highly recommend a stay at the Michiana and we look forward to going back again!
