"Great location, a short walk from the beach and a number of bars and restaurants. In May 2026, there is a lot of construction work in the areas immediately adjacent to the hotel on both the north and east sides. There is noise from the construction during the day, but it stops before the evening. The roads to the north and south of the hotel are closed for the construction, meaning a slightly longer walking route to the beach. In the hotel room, the sliding door onto the balcony would not lock. It was a bit of a worry, because people in adjacent rooms would easily be able to climb around to access the balcony and enter the room. However, the room safe worked fine to keep valuables secure. One of the waste bins in the room had some waste items from a previous guest, but otherwise the room was very clean and everything worked. The buffet breakfast was good. Keep in mind that there are no local taxi companies and no Uber drivers in the area. Therefore short journeys by taxi are not possible. The old town / "village" with the best restaurants is a 30 minute walk away."

"As advertised, Villa Maria is absolutely spectacular! The experience exceeded our expectations. Two families of friends shared the space and we took full advantage of the amenities—from BBQing in the outdoor kitchen and hanging in the hot tub to a movie night in the cinema room and rounds of billiards and ping-pong.The location is perfect; our daily walks on the beach and boardwalk were incredibly energizing, and we loved the local dining scene around the town. However, our favorite meal was the local paella cooked by the concierge, John. He was a total gem—as a longtime local, his recommendations were spot on. It was a wonderful experience and we’ve already decided to come back next year - muy bien!"

"The hotel is aged. Don't go here in the off season. Nothing open, including the indoor or outdoor pools or any indoor kids activities. Rooms are decorated nicely with sports themes, which is great. Aged showers and interior finishes."
