"the apartment was within an old building with beautiful character. the apartment itself also had a lot of character and was clean and perfect for my family of five. the manager of the apartment was kind and accommodating. there was a language barrier as we don't speak any German but we were eventually able to communicate with the help of Google translate :)"

Besonders hervorzuheben ist natürlich das Grundstück, denn welche Ferienwohnung bietet schon einen eigenen See? Wer Lust hat, kann im See schwimmen oder eine kleine Tour mit dem Ruderboot machen. "Really nice property, well kept and clean throughout. Location is really peaceful, quite some way from any towns or villages. Good communications from hosts and easy to access on arrival. The log burner was a lovely touch too. It's not clear on the listing that the property is upstairs - not a problem for us but would be for anyone with mobility issues. Holiday Inn - the niu, Amity Potsdam by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"Easy check in. Parking was underground and they give you a ticket so you can go in and out as many times as you want. My car was small enough, but a large van might not fit. Best to call ahead if you aren't sure. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It is only five minutes walk to the train station and all public transportation to historic Potsdam, and to Berlin. Room was sparsely funished but the bed was comfortable. My room looked out into the courtyard and the window could open all the way which was nice. AC was basic - be aware that you can only control fan speed, and set the temperture +3 or -3 degrees from their base tempertature. "

"Great hotel for exploring the area, room was old style as was the hotel but very nice and comfortable; breakfast is extra but excellent - served in the adjoining restaurant, hotel is directly on Luisenplatz; paid parking but great for local transport connections; room was clean, spacious and comfortable"
