"Great weather , we had a wonderful time. The older children enjoyed sleeping in the cottage. Great out door space, enjoyed the bbq area and the tennis court. the bbq did need cleaning before we could use it. On the down side, broken out door lighting meant it was very dark in the evenings. The pool is small. Not enough cups if everyone wanted a hot drink and no bowls. ( we had to buy bowls so the children could have cereal in the morning) One of the toilets was very dirty, There wasn't a gym. "

"Overnight stop on the way home. Booked a cheap, basic, no frills accommodation and that is exactly what we got. Tiny room, very thin mattress. The auto’ check in system failed and we had to go away and come back 2 hours later when someone was available to help sort out the issue. "

"Very accommodating and welcoming. Hosts really went above and beyond by helping my mother & I, who speak very little French, make reservations and check nearby activities. The property is interesting (in a good way!), the cats were entertaining, and breakfast was delicious. Will be back!"

"This little gem is amazing! We booked it for a last minute stay when we found ourselves in the area and it was getting late and we were tired of driving. What a pleasant surprise! "My fiancee and I only stayed one night at Chateau de La Riviere, and I wish we had stayed longer. Communications with Alice, one of our hosts, were clear and easy. Upon arrival, we were told that we were the only ones staying that night! This made it feel like a fairy tale - a chateau all to ourselves! The historical flavor of the property made us feel like we were back in the 17th century. We were served an excellent multi-course meal by Chef Carole, who not only prepped and prepared our meal, but personally served it to us. Upon our departure, we were offered a private tour of the Chateau by the owner. The owners, their new puppy, and sweet dog were lovely hosts. They provided a custom and unforgettable 24 hours.
