"This is right next to the train station, and although the trains are quiet you can still hear them through the walls. No mini fridge. Otherwise I’m happy with my stay."
"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We knew it was an Ibis Budget when we booked so were expecting limited facilities as we have stayed with this chain before, but we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the stay. The room was compact, had facilities to hang clothing but no where to put other clothing this had to remain in the suitcase for the duration of the stay. Bathroom was great, lovely shower with plenty of hot water. No drink making facilities in the room but again we were aware of this limitation with the Budget chain so took plenty of water and soft drinks.
It was a short walk from the railway station and there was a local bus that ran frequently to take us to the Festival Hall where we watched Wagners Ring Cycle, for the more energetic it is within walking distance and we chose to walk back each night which was easy. This is the closest hotel to the Festspielhalle if you are attending the Festival, however, this does mean that you are a little bit further from the centre of the town, but again walking is not a great distance and buses are available.
The only quibble, and it is a minor one is that the room cleaning was not very great. The bathroom was cleaned daily, bed made, but the floor was not swept/vacuumed once in our 8 day stay.
Breakfast was excellent and the kitchen staff worked really hard, big thank you to all the staff, reception and the bar were 24/7 so when we arrived after midnight we were able to check in and get a drink. Would recommend."
"The room was so clean and comfortable! It was warm but the front desk allowed us to borrow fans. It was very spacious. Breakfast was a really great spread. The hotel is very close to town, no more than a 15 minute walk. The only problem I had was I had to have cash to get water and didn’t bring any so I had to run to the store to get water with my card. But other than that it was perfect. It was very accommodating for our dog as well!"
