It was in a very sketchy place, there were random people at the property next door that you saw as you came in blaring music and more people just smoking and hand out right next to the entrance. The room was worn including cigarette burns on the blanket, worn leather in the desk seat, and the other chair looked very much worn. The refrigerator made noise all night and the pillows were so thin. The elevator was scary. We stayed for one night and I slept for a total of 2 hours. I couldn’t wait to get out of there

Outside needs a facelift. Room was clean and looked nice. People below our room played loud music for an hour and a half and at 10:15 they stopped. It appeared as though economically challenged people were living there. They didn’t give any problems except loud music. When we went to check in no one was at the desk. We rang a buzzer three times, waiting between each attempt. I happened to see the manager’s phone number on a card so I called and he said he was on his way. Eventually he came.

The keycard would not work, so I had to return to the front desk with my luggage to get a different room. I heard arguing across the hall. The comforter on the bed had several burn holes in it and was also soiled. The towels were dingy brown. There were also cigarette burns on the carpeting. This hotel is obviously hired by a housing authority for displaced persons. There was a pot vape smell in the elevator. A lot of people hanging around outside made me feel uncomfortable.

First day check in was difficult since i was given a key to a room that was out of service. Later in the new room i was given, someone was trying to get into my room at 2am. The following day the staff checked me out without my knowlege and deactivated my key. Would not recommend

Parking was easy and lot was pretty empty, check-in clerk was nice but the front desk was never really manned and you have to ring a door bell (which no one ever came when I tried to check out). Hotel was pretty sparse, and things very dilapidated and broken. The towels were terrible in my room, dirty, highly used and had the housekeepers hair (I’m assuming) on them. The hotel smelled of cigarette smoke and weed, and many questionable loiterers outside upon leaving or arriving.

Staff stayed outta your way unless requested and communicated with. Very persistent when you are going to extend your stay and still need to pay. Now to the guest rooms...bedding was horrendous. Stains (brown like burn marks or maybe dried blood) on pillow cases. Burn marks on sheets. King bed sheets don't fit

Very basic but fine for the price. Could not find TV remote, couldn't be bothered to phone reception for our short stay. The warm water took literally 3 minutes to come into the shower in the morning. Was promised a coffee station in the AM but it wasn't turned on.

Outside of the hotel looked very rundown but the inside was very nice. There was a very shady person lurking outside by the door that made us feel unsafe. When I went to check in no one was there even after ringing the bell. Someone was there after I brought our luggage in though. The fourth floor smelled heavily like weed even though there were signs everywhere saying no smoking. Our room was very nice. Bed was uncomfortable for me personally but not for anyone else.

Check in was easy (although Taco Bell was the recommended place for dinner). The room itself was clean, quiet & comfortable. But the homeless and questionably stable or sober folks greeting me at the front door, the large & intimidating man asking me if I was “here for the weekend” behind me at check-in, the sketchy man getting off the elevator with a moped, the permeating smell of pot in the hallways and the elementary school fellow getting off the elevator with me to get the school van in the morning were all unsettling. As a woman traveling alone, I would NEVER recommend this facility. I felt unsafe leaving my vehicle in the lot, using the elevator with others in the vicinity and making it into my room unaccosted. Once I was in my room with the door bolted and locked, all was fine. But the rest of the facility? I recommend paying more to stay in Hammondsport.
