Lake Bennett Resort

We were very disappointed with Lake Bennet Resort. It could hardly be called a 'resort'! The place is very tired and run down. We had booked but when we arrived, a30 deg day, the room didn't have aircon on and it was like walking into a shipping container! We found after putting the aircon on it was stuck on 17 deg - got a bit cool overnight!!The grounds were neglected as was the pool area. We had a very nice meal there and the service was friendly. The whole place need a lot of TLC.

Not what I booked

Rang to let them know I was going to get there late (after 6pm). They didn't know I was coming. What I booked was a room with kitchenette and queen size bed. Got a small room with an air conditioner that only just kept us cool and a small double bed.

Very nice view of the lake from our room. Very average and overpriced meals served at the restaurant.

Sehr angenehm und erholsam nach einer Outbacktour

Sehr ruhiger und entspannter Aufenthalt. Nur 7 km vom Stuart Highway entfernt. Gute Lage zum Litchfield Nationalpark. Sehr guter Service und gute Küche. Abends keine Möglichkeit in der Nähe zum ausgehen. Die Zimmer mit Seeblick und Whirlpool auf der Terrasse - genial

Miles from Litchfield NP.

This business appears to be more like a holistic healing retreat paired with a golf course rather than a mid-budget room and restaurant that an busy traveller like myself might expect. The woman who checked me in (after a five minute wait at the unattended reception desk) seemed inebriated, while the woman who checked me out the following morning was abrupt and singularly focused on money. Parking was tight and meals were well overpriced!!

Paradise in the wilderness

I had booked the accommodation on-line, looking for somewhere affordable close to Litchfield National Park so was absolutely blown away when we arrived at Lake Bennett Resort. I would love to go back one day for a holiday and stay for a week. It is spectacularly beautiful. The new owner is really friendly and made our stay unforgettable.
