"We had a wonderful stay at Odyssey Villa in Escaleras. The drive is an adventure, but once you arrive, the house and views are absolutely stunning—photos truly don’t do it justice. We previously lived in Hawaii with an ocean view and agree with other reviews that this view is somehow even more impressive, overlooking a lush green valley and Diamante Waterfall.The setting is calm and peaceful, with magical sunrises and sunsets. "We spent a month here and enjoyed every minute. Wonderful location to take day trips to waterfalls or beaches and then returning to peace and solitude. Regularly saw toucans (two kinds), hummingbirds (four kinds), coatimundi, agouti, parrots of all colors, and butterflies galore. Owner is quick to respond to questions and requests. Would definitely stay here again."
