"An absolutely stunning little gem of a place. It’s as if a room from a very high end, boutique city hotel has been plucked out of a building and carefully placed down in beautiful, peaceful countryside. The decor is stylish and genuinely calming. The hosts have thought of everything - literally everything! I kept finding extras I didn’t expect to. Can’t praise this place enough!"

"No frills but good location. I just needed a bed and shower during a trip to see a concert at the nearby De Montfort Hall. It's a great location for that, less than 5mins walk, also near plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. It's cheap so I didn't expect much. The room and toilet/shower was basic but clean. There were no curtains, just blinds...so in the summer and with a heat wave it was quite unbearable. There's an electronic lock on the room doors but not on the main outside door so anyone...

"Host there to welcome us when we arrived. He helped to carry in the luggage and showed us how the hot water and heating worked. Amenities were ideal with breakfast food items included plus a bottle of Prosecco and shortbread as a thoughtful Christmas gift. The property had been decorated for Christmas - another kind and thoughtful touch. The property was spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable. Thank you to the hosts. "

The Belmont Hotel

The Belmont Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Little gem of a hotel, near the station but very quiet. There is a guest car park, which is unusual for city centre location. Room was spacious, very clean. Staff very helpful, but bit rushed at breakfast. Breakfast excellent choice, hot food cooked to order. It's a bit of a rabbit warren finding the room, and there are steps to some areas. Would definitely stay again, if I am in the area."
