Needs some TLC
The responsiveness of the management team was very good; used WhatsApp; no language barrier issue. Rental needs significant TLC. It is very worn. As you can see from some of the pictures, there were broken boards on the deck and in the living room, the deck furniture was in disrepair, and the countertop by the stove was significantly cracked. The mattresses were not good & definitely need to be updated. The Wi-Fi was spotty & weak. Some blinds fell when we tried to use them; handyman came to fix right away tho. It felt like we were sharing the terrace with the neighbors who were constantly smoking (we are not smokers). There was confusion regarding renting the beach towels for 5 as it notes in the confirmation email. The management company in this location doesn’t have beach towels and did not know what I was talking about.I felt that there were significant issues with paying for the rental. We wanted to pay through VRBO but could not. For some reason, VRBO is OK with this. You need a link to pay with cc, but we were never given the link until a couple days before and then told it would be a 5% fee to use a cc. We were given a link for a wire transfer, which I was not comfortable with, and this method would not have met the requirement to be completed prior to our arrival. In the end, we paid cash and it was fine. The process felt scammy and very disjointed though. Overall, we feel the price was too high for the state of the property.
