I read previous reviews so felt I was prepared. I have stayed in many vrbo homes and this is my first non- high star review/ comments. Most important thing I was looking for was a true ski in-out. I even google mapped it to see how close to lodge. It is very close to lodge, however this home is by the road (which made it easier to get in and out to car) however you have to hike down a bit to the slope which was rather difficult. We tried it a couple of times and ended up still driving to the lodge. The main picture with the little wooden bridge on the path is from the slope so this is what will need to be traveled to get from slope to house and when icy is not simple in ski boots. Location is VERY close still to the lodge. Housekeeping did a good job cleaning, however it's hard to clean maintenance issues. The pocket light in kitchen was falling out which made opening the kitchen cabinet very difficult. The interior needs a painting or at least a good scrubbing on common areas of walls, doors and molding. The chair in front of the fireplace has been repaired once but has come apart and all the stuffing is showing in the back. The home should not be rented without replacing the mattresses. The main bedroom was so bad that my husband found the sofa more comfortable as the twin beds in 2nd room were about the same. Unless your a college kid who can sleep on the floor and do not care, this home needs new mattresses. The walls and building itself are very thin with little insulation. The electric heater, heaters in bedrooms and fireplace did keep the home warm. There are a lot of these round homes available in the area and I would suspect many are the same. Just fair warning this home needs some real maintenance and new beds.
Hooks and open area with folding chairs near the door made it easy for ski boots and changing. Windows offered a great view, although you will hear the snow blowers all night
