SCOTLAND END BARN is designed for sustainable, comfortable living with biomass boiler, heat pump and solar panels as well as character and architectural features like the amazing water well which has feature lighting, exposed beams, high vaulted ceilings, cut stone arched doorways and stone mullion windows. The house is flooded by light with full-height glass windows; the majority of rooms enjoy dual-aspect views of the gardens. The house occupies its own 1 acre plot with a separate garage and third lounge/games room above.

LIVING
Fully equipped kitchen/dining fully remodelled in 2021, with seating for 10-12 people. Bi-fold doors open out to the west-facing terrace where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets all year round.

The accommodation is suited to entertaining and family living with two vaulted reception rooms and a large kitchen/dining room with contemporary bi-folding doors. The amazing master bedroom suite has views over the gardens and Cotswolds. There are 3 further bedrooms (2 with en suite shower rooms) and a family bathroom. It's easy to find privacy and quiet even with a full house.

The Games/extra TV lounge with kitchenette, veranda and shower room is located above the recently constructed triple garage. A great escape from the main house.

Chipping Norton 6 miles, Banbury 10 miles (London Marylebone, 56 minutes), M40 J11 10 miles, Charlbury 12 miles (London Paddington, 70 minutes), Oxford 24 miles. Soho Farmhouse 5 miles.

Great house and location
We stayed here to celebrate our wedding with immediate family, kids and dog. Was a great house with plenty of space to hang out. Very comfortable and definitely right up our street in terms of style and peacefulness. Walking distance to local shop which is very well stocked, two good pubs, Hook Norton Brewery and local deli. Caroline was helpful when needed and even offered us a late check out. Would consider staying here again as a treat. Many thanks Caroline!

Great property and extremely conscientious hosts
Had a great stay with family at this property for a milestone anniversary for our parents. It really went down so well with everyone! The hosts were excellent with communications and super helpful. Without going into personal details, they really went the extra mile in looking after us. You can absolutely trust them to truly care about you and your stay. This is the selling point of this property. The house itself was very clean and well appointed. The layout was good for our sets of families, as it has multiple bathrooms and the bedrooms aren't all on top of one another. The quiet sitting room with log fire was our favourite. Also, a great location. Few mins walk from the edge of the village -- which has a couple of lovely pubs, a great butchers with deli, and general store. Trying to think of something to make this review sound realistically balanced, rather than just gushing.... The surrounding gardens were a little out of shape, but that seemed due to the time of year (February) we visited and a harsh winter. It would be great to visit again in better weather, to be able to sit outside, use the pool, etc. Thank you very much to Caroline and co!

Great location for dog walkers and beer drinkers
Well appointed and laid out property on the edge of Hook Norton, with plenty of secure garden for dogs to roam, and within a short walking distance of the brewery and local pubs. Games room above garage and swimming pool keep teens amused for a while, but there is little in the local area for them before Oxford, 45 minutes drive away. Ideal for fans of country walks and good local beer!

Excellent holiday
Scotland end barn suited our family requirements extremely well. I am an above knee amputee requiring a wheelchair, and although there are considerable difficulties I was able to overcome most. The rest of the family are all active and had a wonderful time and are keen to return. The pool was a great hit with my athletic daughter and equally my granddaughter who is under two. Caroline is extremely helpful and quick to respond to enquiries. The space is really refreshing and we all had a great time.
