"A couple of cautionary remarks preparatory to our review: (1) not the hotel's fault, but Google directs the destination to a side-street about three blocks removed from the actual location, when a route is created using only the hotel name as a voice command (probably street address would have produced a better result), and (2) the neighborhood for several block around the hotel is very unsavory, and the streets and sidewalks are in varying stages of decay and disrepair. That being said, once the property was located, it was like walking into an oasis in the desert. The receptionist was highly accommodating in parking our car at the entrance, off-loading and transporting luggage to our room, and early registration, even though we arrived a couple of hours before normal check-in. We were able to order wine and unwind on the patio while waiting for our room to be readied. The on-site facilities (restaurant with indoor and patio dining, swimming pool) were exceptional, the room spacious, clean, and decorated in 19th century architecture and furnishings, just to our tastes. Doubtful we will be visiting Timisoara in the future but would not hesitate booking Casa del Sole again."
