- Friendly staff - Freedom Land, Tour & Cultural Show were thr best!!!! - Place gives us nostalgic feeling, super great concept preserving historic houses - Good beach - Check in staff did not fully explain inclusions of our package as such we missed free boat ride - Initial room - aircon not working - “highway robbery” with water - not allowing guests to refill water bottles, room only had 1 set of water bottles —> we could have heat stroke!!!! - Buffet breakfast spread wasnt good / enough

Reception needs to inform guest of what the property has to offer and accomodate them well even if its early checkin and to provide comfortable reception when the room takes forever to be available due to their delay (super hot and humid with no fan or something to cool off while waiting). The location is a trek.

They made us wait for 1 and a half hour in the sweltering heat. They kept saying the room was not ready when the check in was supposed to be 3 pm. They gave us the run around. They only let us into the casa when we started complaining to the manager. When we got into our room it was horrible, it was dark, old, bathroom wasn't clean, sink was clogged the furniture was sparse. The ride to our room was hot and bumpy in an old rusty jeep with hard seats. The place was a disappointment. The houses needed restoration. Once you go in the house, there was really nothing to see but empty shell with wood carvings. The houses were not really restored..we couldn't stimach sleeping in our casa which looked like a bodega wuth only a bed and a small night stand. We immediately looked for another hotel. Luckily we found Rancho Bernardo which was a few minutes away. Rancho Bernardo was a totally different place it was magical, staff treated us like royalty while Las Casas didn't care for our comfort. At Rancho we were greeted by the general manager herself and offered cool drinks, gave us a tour, etc. It was really a waste of time to vidit Las Casas. I know it's very popular with the locals but if you want to attract foreign tourist, you gotta inprove your accomodations , transport and retrain your staff in customer service. We won't be coming back to this place. Our tour was just tour of empty old houses. It was really a big disappointment

Excellent customer service! Everyone was very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we have a comfortable and enjoyable stay there. I liked that they let us check in earlier as soon as our room was ready with no extra charge. Transportation around the place was great as there was a jeepney coming every 10 min to take you where you want to go. Place was really gorgeous and have lots of nice spots to take beautiful pictures at. Our room exceeded our expectations as it was in a really nice location close to all amenities and events (Paseo dela Escolta). It was also very clean and huge for 4 people. We all slept well during the night as our room was super quiet and the beds were comfortable. There were only 2 restaurants that were open during our stay, which are Cusina ni Nanay Maria and La Bella Teodora, and we tried both for lunch and dinner. Food was okay in both, but really expensive especially for the quality and quantity you'll get. Customer service in both was fantastic, though. We did enjoy the live music at La Bella Teodora during dinner as the trio of performers they had were wonderful. We also enjoyed the walking tour that we had before checking in. It was informative and fun and our tour guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We especially loved the traditional Filipino games that we played as part of the tour. We also enjoyed watching some events and performances such as the carabao race and cultural show which were all fun.

The beauty of the place compensated the service
Due to the pandemic the place might be under staffed. The organization and management is in disarray. Upon checking in, the staff is multi tasking too much and assisting a number of customers at the same time which is a bit disappointing. We booked and paid online the same day, we were suppose to be walking in on a different hotel in Iba, Zambales but establishments are mostly closed so instead we booked and paid online along the way to the nearest available place. We called the place which they didn't answer but sent us a text instead asking to state our concern, so we sent a text to confirm our reservation, which they replied it is confirmed, confirming our reservation we expected our room would be ready when we arrive, we did a late check in, and our room was still not ready, fortunately the place looks good and we are told to walk around while waiting. The room given also has no view to the sea even if its located sea side, we can't open the windows. Another is the restaurant inside the place didn't count our order properly, so they had to ask us to pay later upon check out. Some parts are still under construction, and some activities are still not available due to the pandemic, such as the fotografia activity we are looking forward to. The place is clean and staff is nice, aside from the mishaps in the beginning. The tour guide was also nice and funny although some questions were unanswered. It was our first time and the place is truly beautiful.

Las Casas is more than a resort, it’s a unique and endlessly fascinating living museum of Filipino and Spanish colonial architecture dating back to 1740. The tours and activities were most informative. The food at the restaurant was top notch, some of the best Filipino food I’ve had in the Philippines. If you can afford the hefty price tag, it’s worth it to stay in one of the elegant refurbished villas. One caveat, the cobbled streets can be difficult for seniors and many of the facilities are not accessible for persons with disabilities.

The property itself is amazing. Its got all you wanted in a resort, mountain view, the ocean and very nice set up. However, as a traveler who have been to other 3rd world countries, my last travel was in Peru and Ecuador, it was very disappointing to experience using a bathrobe in place of a bath towel. No explanation whatsoever. We;ve been asking for the towels since we checked in at 3, and the reply was, we will give it to you when they available. Alas, at 7 P.M., we got bathrobes instead of towels. We did not bother to inquire as we were so tired and all we want is to just enjoy the beach and rest. I booked 2 rooms 5101 and 5102, 5101 has no hot water and both rooms have no phone service. During breakfast, I was so excited when I saw "tinapa" as we do not have them fresh in Canada. I took a bite and was really disappointed because the oil they used for frying was stale. This would have been a perfect one day vacation if not for those items mentioned. Also, I am wondering why all the activities are scheduled on week ends and only 2 restaurants are open?

Happy & contented but not in all.
Not so good experience. Front desk staff not so accomodating. Keep us wait in one side for room transportation without giving any welcome drinks. Paid 650 pesos per person for buffet dinner only to queu in the long line only eating pancit bihon and okra as no more food. Problem is they let paying guess fall in line with other non paying visitor for the their event of flores de mayo.

Good side: We’re very impressed with the surroundings. The concept of the place is really nice. The staff was good. The bathroom is big. Downside: They need to do something about the people who are visiting the place. We’ve seen so many plastic trash (candy wrappers, sachets of shampoo) at the beach area. People have thrown also bags of potato chips near the hotel rooms. The room is not that spacious for five people.

Las Casas Filipinas Experience
All the workers or staff were friendly or courteous. Our problem were the guests next door. It was almost 11 in the evening when my husband and I were awakened because they were noisy and loud. I don’t think they realized it was already late and they didn’t have any consideration for other people. I wish there were more restaurants. There were only 2 that were open when we were there. Also, it was disappointing that the swimming pool was not available because it was under maintenance. It was a nice 2 day getaway though, because it wasn’t a very long drive from home.

Dissapointed
Reception s great, courteous and helpful. The place need abit more upkeep. We stayed at the beach front and there was a group of maybe a company get together and they were very loud . At 6 am in the morning they were having loud conversation from the beach to someone in their room. No courtesy. I suggest the managemwnt to put up signs, “ as courtesy to other guest please keep the noise down esp late at night and early morning” Did not sleep well.

Nice place to relax. Huge room, but need good pest control. A lot of mosqitoes and flies. Breakfas buffet, food is average. Lot of flies inside restaurant. Would have been an outstanding stay with out those flies and mosquitoes flying around.

Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, Luzon, Phlippines
We were a party of four: myself, my Filipina fiancee, her daughter and her brother, who is acting as our driver for the 16 day holiday. The weather was unfortunately dreadful: very heavy and persistent rain but we managed to take several photos of the historic houses in between the showers. The place itself is absolutely fascinating: a great estate of houses that were dismantled and moved from their original sites and reassembled at Bataan. The canal running through the middle of the estate is very Venetian in feel, given added authenticity by a series of small bridges. The houses themselves date from the 18th to 20th centuries and are mostly large, noble mansions of Spanish colonial design. We elected to take a guided tour, which was informative, if somewhat short and which only took in eight of the houses. All the staff were most attentive and obliging and the one night stay was good value at £93, which included a substantial Filipino buffet breakfast for four, plus the guided tour and the use of vehicles to transport us wherever we wished to go.. The room we were given was somewhat cramped and rain leaked in through the windows, causing a very humid and unhealthy atmosphere. The main bed was hard and I was unable to sleep at all. Overall it was a very worthwhile stay and I would recommend it wholeheartedly to any travellers with a genuine interest in Filipino culture and history.

Very much worth a visit.
Great chance to see older buildings restored in a village format. Staff were very nice, grounds were very walkable and it appears they are in the process of enlarging the canals nd will be adding more houses as well. Buffet breakfast was not good but was ok, the temp of the hot food was way below the suggested 140 degrees. But pastries were very good and so was the coffee.

Dirty beach front and lousy breakfast.
The beach front is so dirty, they only have one person sweeping the sand, i interviewed him and he said because of the typhoon. Garbage are being washed to their shore. I don’t belive him due the garbage on day 1 were stil the garbage on day 2. Please do something about it. Suggestion for breakfast: since we are promoting filipino heritage, why not serve filipino breakfast like danggit, tuyo, itlog na maalat at kamatis, daing na isda, enseladang talong etc. Instead of corned beef, friend chicken, pancit, disgusting sausage. Fruit in seasaon should be served, las casas served one fruit only - pakwan! There is no banana nor pineapple, avocado is in season also mango. The juice is so sweet very bad for diabetic. International breakfast should have cereals. Too many flies in the dining hall.

Nice property, lots of history. The room was in poor condition and bed was very uncomfortable. The breakfast was not very good, but very expensive. We got locked out of our room because the card lock on the door was dysfunctional and it took forever to be replaced. The grounds were very nice.
