Welcome to a unique overnight experience in Bad Hersfeld.

Spend relaxing days in the historic defense tower right next to the city park. The lovingly furnished, historic tower is located directly on the city wall in the heart of Bad Hersfeld—just 150 meters from the monastery ruins of Bad Hersfeld. The defense tower is the perfect starting point for exploring the city and visiting one of the many restaurants in the beautiful half-timbered town of Bad Hersfeld.

The accommodation
The tower offers space for 2–4 people across approximately 50 square meters.

It begins on the first floor with the spacious, high-quality natural-stone bathroom, which features underfloor heating, a walk-in shower, a sink, and a separate toilet. The eastern entrance to the apartment is also located here, directly at the on-site parking lot in front of the tower.

The western entrance to the apartment is on the mezzanine floor and leads directly to the adjacent city park. From here, you can also access the first floor, where the fully equipped kitchen—complete with a small bar table and chairs—is located.

On the second floor is the living/dining room with access to a small south-facing balcony overlooking the beautiful park with its ponds. Grab a book and watch the ducks and birds by the city park lake.

In the living room, there is a Smart TV with free access to Netflix, Amazon, and other streaming services. There is also a double sofa bed with a mattress, which can easily be converted into a bed.

On the third floor is the bedroom (gable end) with a double bed.

Pure luxury across four floors with every imaginable comfort! The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need for a longer stay. The defense tower is a medieval tower with 4 floors. The half-timbering begins on the 2nd floor above the solid, thick walls on the first floor.#

Other important information For a super convenient check-in, we’ve equipped the apartment with a smart door lock. You don’t have to worry about losing the key because your key is a door code! :-)

The lovingly furnished, historic tower is located directly on the city wall in the heart of Bad Hersfeld—just 150 meters from the monastery ruins of Bad Hersfeld. The well-known Bad Hersfeld Festival takes place there every year! Thanks to the excellent Wi-Fi, the apartment is also ideal for remote work. In any case, the central location with quick access to the A7/A5/A4 highways is a definite advantage

Bad Hersfeld boasts wonderful bike paths, such as the 28 km-long Salztal bike path. You can also take a trip back in time to Herzberg Castle.
