It’s 1.5 km uphill ride away from downtown. We didn’t receive the information required to enter the hotel/room. We had to call and wait for a response. Just hate these hotels without a reception. Always a hassle. Otherwise, nice room. Budget friendly.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
We checked into to the hotel on Sunday, October 1st after a 5 hour drive. The self check-in worked fine and we retreived our key. However, upon entering the room, we discovered that the room had not be cleaned from the prior guest. The sheets were dirty, there were pizza boxes in the trash, the towel were wet, and there was hair in the shower pan.
Upon calling the hotel's customers service number, no effort was made to clean our room and make things right. Since it was a Sunday evening, we were luckly to find another room in Bacharach. That hotel and innkeeper will be getting a very good review for their hospitality.
Needless to say, the treatment by Hotel Bluechertal was unnacceptable and we will be asking for some sort of refund.

Room was cleaned, but there was no staff or other guests at the hotel while we were staying. No bedsheets clean up, no changed towels, no collect trash the bin, no drinking water in the room. It’s more like Air bnb not like the hotel.
The good thing was the parking lots in front of the hotel.
We loved this hotel. It was easy to access, cheap parking across the street and a short walk to the main areas of town. We had a private porch with a view up the mountain. We slept well and enjoyed our time there.
Notes for other travelers: the parking machine is $4 per day but only takes coins; most places in town only take cash; breakfast is only offered on weekends; coffee is for sale by machine but it only takes coins.
We checked in at night and cannot evaluate the service since we spoke to staff over intercom. Next morning didn't see anyone. We had breakfast in town since we only stayed one night.
There was no indication when we booked that this ‘hotel’ has no staff on site except cleaners in the morning. Nobody to greet you, or offer any service at all, even to say hello. We didn’t know until an email arrived with a code to let ourselves in. Not only that there is no breakfast except at weekends cos there is nobody to make it, just a machine with ‘stuff’ in it. No kettle in the room either. This isn’t a hotel. It’s just a dormitory. We would certainly not have booked had we known. It was totally soulless and definitely not what you want on holiday. Would not recommend it.

Liegt vermutlich an Expedia...
