Our family enjoyed our stay on the canal. Communication with the management was great. We took advantage of the opportunity to rent a kayak, and it was well worth it. The hot tub was well-maintained, and once we figured out how to get it heated up, we used it every night. The sunset view from there over the sound made the evenings special. Having a bathroom for every bedroom was a luxury, but we were disappointed that there were no bath mats of any kind. That’s not something anyone wants to bring from home, and there weren’t enough towels provided to compensate. The master suite upstairs is well appointed but hot during the day. No worries when you are out all day having fun. It cools off at night. The downstairs queen bed is by far the most comfortable, so you might end up fighting for that one. I was impressed with the sharp knives and decent pots and pans in the kitchen. We cooked almost all our meals. We loved that we were able to bring our dogs and enjoy the beach with them. The walk is about 10 minutes, so carrying a family load of beach junk, we found it easier to just drive 2 minutes to one of the public access points. We would absolutely stay again.
