"Whilst this hotel had lovely clean rooms and nice staff/food etc, I picked it because according to hotels.com, it had onsite secure parking and a lift. On arrival, we found it hard to park and were told there wasn’t any onsite parking and that we should use the train station or wait for a spot to be free in the area. Also, I have some mobility issues but as the description said there was a lift, I thought there would be no problem… however when we arrived we found that the lift only goes up one floor and we were on the third floor. The hotel was full so we couldn’t change rooms."

"The hotel was clean, comfortable and well maintained. All of the staff were really helpful, cheerful and friendly. The burger from the bar meal selection was awesome, ranking as one of the best I’ve had, the chips were amazing too. My room was clean, spacious and comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was great, and appreciated. The only very small gripe, is the £10 day parking charge, if you don’t book direct. The hotel is cashless, and when paying, there isn’t an allowance on the bill to add a gratuity, which made tipping difficult. Overall, I am happy to provide a 5 star review."

"3 rd stay here this year, staff are always helpful & friendly. Rooms clean. No food available probably with it being right next door to weatherspoons/tesco extra which stay open late. It’s just only ten minutes walk from the station, there’s a car park opposite but expensive and not many spaces. Handy location to shops bars and restaurants."

"Charming pub with rooms. Nice bar area with outside courtyard area and good drinks range (and lovely glassware!) . Very friendly staff and rooms very well appointed with clever use of space, However didn’t sleep well as the room was way too hot and the pillows are not great. Would stay again though as the good outweighed the bad."
