"Loved this unique experience! It did get cold towards the end of our stay, but that's because it was October and we got caught in the rain on a hike. They had tons of blankets and two heaters that helped a lot. If a dryer was available for wet clothes, that would've been outstanding. Also, our hiking guide/bartender, Jeremy, was amazing!! Had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again."

"Absolutely lovely! This is a room on the second floor above the garage, with a side staircase. The hosts have thought about literally everything putting a lot of care and effort in making guests feel totally at home. All the instructions for temperature control are there on the table, there is a Keurig with plenty of coffee pods and a kettle. A canister with water sits on the shelf for ease of pouring. A refrigerator is present as well. All sorts of brochures and maps for exploring the area are on the coffee table, along with the hosts’ recommendations for where to eat and what to see. The bed was supercomfy with a warm and heavy blanket. A whole bookcase full of books and board games is along one wall. The hosts were easy to get in touch with right from the start. When I noticed that shampoo was missing, I texted them, and shampoo was brought up right to the door almost immediately. Wifi was superfast as well. Make sure to climb onto the screened-in balcony overlooking the lawn and the trees behind the house. I was there in late fall, so it was a tad too cold to enjoy, but nevertheless it was a charming setting to sip coffee or tea in. It had not been easy to find accommodation close to Acadia NP, I had looked almost everywhere and everything that was left was too expensive until I came across this secluded spot, off the side, but very close."

"We had a great time staying at this property! It was really well appointed for our needs: 2 families with 6 kids aged 2-12. The highchair was clean (perhaps brand new), as was the crib. The hot tub and sauna were perfect for the cool fall nights. The large dining room table provided for comfortable family dining. The grill had no problem handling our steaks - nor did the expansive, fully stocked kitchen when it came to preparing other food. The fire pit (fire wood aplenty) created an opportunity for cooking marshmellows with the kids. The 'Better Homes and Garden' looking back yard was great for an after dinner stroll and tossing around the football. The back deck and the fall foliage was a dreamy spot to take enjoy a coffee early in the morning. I could go on!Overall, we were pleased and would definitely recommend this property and its host for someone looking for the ideal spot to explor Acadia or easily make your way into Bar Harbor. We hope to return one day!"

"The property was stunning, and the views were amazing! The upstairs lounging area was very comfortable and we enjoyed the pool table. The kitchen had all the essentials, which was very appreciated. We got the chance to meet the host's parents, who were so welcoming and fun to talk to! Unfortunately we had water issues throughout our stay. Both toilets had issues flushing, and our water pressure when showering was less than satisfactory (even if only one shower was being used at a time). Also, it would have been nice to have a nonstick pan to cook eggs (the only plans available were not good). The place itself was adorable all nestled away in the woods, which was very private and secluded, but we didn't realize it was 20 min drive to get to Bar Harbor with all the winding, low speed limit roads. That was our mistake, thinking that 7 minutes away meant about 10 min drive. All in all, the place is beautiful and the four of us had a wonderful trip; however, we couldn't imagine having 8 people stay in this house with how small the bathrooms are, the low water pressure for showering, and all the toilet problems. "
