Hotel is at a very convenient location close to both Sytagma and Monastiraki squares with lots of shopping and restaurant options every after midnigh. Walkable to Acropolis, Ancient Agora, and other attractions. Staff are very friendly and 24 hour front desk service makes me feel at ease. Bed and bedding are very comfortable. Breakfast is great with option of fresh order. Enjoy my stay very much.

The staff working at Athens Market Portrait were incredibly nice and helpful. They even gave me a breakfast to go when I had to leave early to catch a ferry. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

It's an average property close to the centre so walkable to quite a few places. I had a couple of negative experiences. Firstly, the single room that they offer has hardly any storage, secondly the shower door of my room did not ahut properly and in spiterepeated requests on a daily basis, nothing was done except letting me know that they have ordered a new door! Their Breakfast is good, but the staff are too busy chatting in the kitchen area so although they mention that breakfast starts at 7 :30. Nothing really gets served in terms of a hot breakfast till about 7:50 or 8:00. So if you're planning to go out for any tour, please skip this. On one occasion I told the lady that I do not want much salt in my breakfast, it still came with ample of salt sprinkled over it. On the second day when I asked for no salt at all, that's when I got less salt and on both days had to leave the meal. This unpleasant experience however, was only on Thursday and Friday with the waitress that had her hair platted. She also kept announcing everyone's breakfast orders so loudly that the whole floor could hear her. The other lady was really nice, polite and more importantly attentive! I always rate my reviews based on whether I would want to return to this place or not and clearly I don't want to go back here. The only work of staying here is that it's close to all the other sites, and walkable, but then so are the 50 other hotels in the vicinity.

Access to surrounding attractions easily walkable. Rooms were small but livable for 2 days stay. Elevator was cramped for 2 people and definitely couldn’t hold more than 2 large luggage. Little bit noisy at nights but they provide free air plugs. Excellent breakfast cooked by request. Red Egg yolks like the setting Sun are a must try. Overall a great value for the price. Came back to hotel both nights after 10pm and felt safe.

The hotel is not located on the most picturesque street but does provide value for the money. In the room, you get water bottles, slippers, a housecoat, a mini-fridge, and even earplugs if the street noise is bothersome. The hotel also provides a nice breakfast, including a make-to-order one with scrambled or fried eggs and fresh orange juice. However, there are not a lot of restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

This hotel is very centric, and the staff is super nice. The building is old, but very well adapted and remodeled for the needs of modern travelers. This property is located in the food market area, so, while it can look a bit rough at first, as a woman traveling solo, even I felt safe. For ladies out there, still be streetwise. (@LadiesTravelSolo-Athena) Their complementary breakfast service at the top of the building is abundant and tasty and the staff that helps is diligent, kind, and professional. The two gentlemen attending a reception at different times were very service-oriented and knowledgeable. Recommended, by all means.
