Beautiful hotel--exactly what I was looking for. Just a short walk away from key Goonies sites (Flavel House, old county jail). Right across the street from a good restaurant and a short walk away from many more. Cozy lobby where I sat by the fire when I came in from the rain in the afternoon. Very comfortable and clean room, heated bathroom floor, nice view. Good breakfast included. If I have the chance to come back to Astoria, this is absolutely where I would want to stay. It is worth noting that the hotel does NOT have parking. You have to find a place on the street or in a lot that's about half a block away (but was full when I arrived). There is a space right out front to park briefly for check-in (limit of 15 minutes), but it may be necessary to park a couple of blocks away. This isn't actually a big deal, just be aware that if you're on your own and can't quickly drop off luggage at the curb with another person, you'll need to pull your luggage down the sidewalk from wherever you park.

It a charming hotel. They say it's haunted. And I will say that when I was falling asleep, I felt somebody touch my shoulder. I know it sounds crazy but I did but still felt safe.

Comfortable bed and nice heated floor in the bathroom. Elegant decor that resembles a time of the past. Great customer service as well.

This was above my expectations. I usually enjoy older hotels for the architecture but this included amenities and service. I'll be back again at high season no matter the cost. Really enjoyed the one night.

Fantastic old hotel in downtown Astoria. The rooftop deck did not disappoint!. 360 degree view. I went up at sunset and watched it set over the bridge between Oregon and Washington and then watch as the lights came on all over Astoria. Only downside was one of my room windows had a broken seal so it was "fogged" up and you couldn't see out it. It was the lowest and biggest window. No parking structure-only street parking. Lot across the street has specific rules about uses so not good for several days. No open spots when I went. But overall great experience

I have always admired the Elliot Hotel, so I was very excited to stay there. It did not disappoint. It is quintessential Astoria.

We loved our one night stay and will return soon. Astoria has become such a fun place to visit. The room was so charming and the terrace was a great spot to have a cocktail or two! My favorite part was the heated tile in the bathroom and fireplace heater. Super cozy hotel with restaurants and shops near by.

Just very nice all around. Great staff, nice room, located smack dab in the middle of town, close to numerous shopping, eating and entertainment options. We loved it.

If you are open to a classic “old world” hotel experience this is for you. All your needs are met. If you only like modern contemporary accommodations you will say this hotel is dated. Located in the central business district, a plus.

We are celebrating our 100th anniversary this year. The hotel was completely remodeled in 2003, but we kept the decor and structure classic.

For a 100 year old property, this hotel is spotless. The rooms are very quiet and clean. There's a rooftop view. Good breakfast options included in the stay. And it's within walking distance to all the great restaurants, breweries, bars, and shopping. Highly recommend.

We've stayed at the Hotel Elliot several times now, and always have a lovely stay. The beds are very comfortable, the staff is excellent, and it couldn't be more conveniently located for downtown Astoria. This was the first time I'd tried their continental breakfast, and it was a step above the usual chain hotel fare. Highly recommended.

Perfect location in downtown astoria. Rooms definitely have an old-ish/musky smell to them which was a little overwhelming at times. Windows don’t have a screen on them so you can’t really leave them open to air out the room or have fresh air come in. With no heat on the room gets pretty warm. Booked a city view but got the parking lot Honestly would stay here again.

Absolutely Flawless!
Flawless classic hotel in downtown Astoria. Quiet and comfortable, attentive staff, a wine bar, pool table, and those wonderful beds. Love this place.

The property was very nice excpet for the room not being properly cleaned. There was still a nest of someone else's hair in the shower.

I apologize for the condition of the shower. Our housekeeping managers inspect all rooms after they are cleaned. Occasionally, things get overlooked. I hope you contacted the front desk to let them know about the shower. They would have offered to move you to another room or at the very least, sent someone to properly clean the shower.

The location of this hotel was perfect for exploring Astoria. They had a very good breakfast included with the room and their wine bar was nice as well as the sitting area on the rooftop to watch the sun set over the Columbia River. We initially noticed a smell in the lobby but not in our room. Perhaps this was a one time thing or we became used to it but didn't notice it later. The faucet in the sink of our room had a nearly constant drip which was noticeable. We reported it and hopefully it will be addressed.
