「It is situated in a quiet area and only a few minutes' walk from the centre, so it was ideal for us. It is a very clean house with everything we needed. As others have said, you need to take the owner's advice about how to park, but I got a Nissan Juke in and out of the parking space. The owner was very helpful and responded quickly when we had a query. We would definitely go back again.」

「The property was in an excellent position, well equipped and very clean. Communication with the owner was excellent when we did encounter a problem with the shower which was quickly solved. The outside patio area could do with a little maintenance to improve the overall experience as we spent a lot of time sitting and eating outside in beautiful weather and surroundings. We felt that the provision for recycling also needed improving but otherwise the whole experience was excellent」

Nice white towels. Good communication from owner. 2 local pubs- the Nelson ...no food gd beer. Rising sun, pub grub. Both friendly pubs. negative side: Right on a very busy,noisy road. We could not work out why so many lorries etc cut through there. We did sort of get used to the noise except early...

「What a magical experience to stay on the grounds of Newstead Abbey! Gorgeous property all to yourself after hours, with loads of birds and natural beauty. The cottage is clean and comfortable, very quiet and relaxing. You will need a car. I hope to stay here again!」
