A beautiful house with wonderful hosts
Yus and her husband, Arnaldo, were brilliant hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They even picked us up from the airport and, also, took us back when we asked if they could arrange a taxi for us. They’d provided basic provisions for our arrival as well as a ‘welcome’ bottle of wine which is a lovely touch.The house itself is very comfortable and was spotless. It has so many different areas that can be used. The conservatory is brilliant, we spent much of our time there! There is air con in the kitchen/diner & in the master bedroom, there are fans in all other rooms. The area is very quiet. It is very handy for provisions as there is an Aldi literally across the road (the bins and recycling are over there too) so you don’t need to carry the shopping very far.There are a few restaurants around 15 minutes’ walk from the house, although the main area for restaurants (El Charco de San Ginés) takes about 30 minutes. This didn’t bother us but, if you have mobility issues, it might not be ideal. The walk to Play Honda along the promenade is nice and takes around 55 minutes. The bus station is also around 15 minutes' walk. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend 'Casa Yus' to anyone wanting to stay in Arrecife.
