Absolute 5 Star Experience
Our stay was absolutely everything we hoped for and more. You can genuinely tell the love and effort that goes into this property. Such beautiful views, everything is very well kept up, very clean, and the host, Kris, was incredibly kind as well. All of the guests were very impressed with the home - I got kudos all week for booking it! Best property I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. Absolutely recommend it and hope to be back soon!

Loft of Riley was PERFECT!!!
We loved every minute of our stay. The property was immaculate, well stocked, and comfortable for our three generations. No view could possibly be better. We felt like we had a private beach with breathtaking scenery at both ends. Host was so helpful- we tried to do everything recommended, but ran out of days, as we were making our way to Bandon Dunes. Coming all the way from Cincinnati as first time visitors, our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer. Out of thousands of options along the Oregon Coast, we all felt like it was literally the perfect choice!

Perfect!
The view, house and grounds could not have been better! Our group was multi-generational, spanning ages from 17-80 (parents, grandparents and grandchildren). The beds were all very comfortable. The kitchen was very well set-up (Keurig, great cookware and appliances, nice supply of dishes, glasses and silverware). Just when I thought I wouldn't be able to find an item I was searching for, I would open another cabinet and find it! We cooked every meal at the house, because we knew we would not find a restaurant with a better view! The bathrooms are set up nicely...love the heated floors and mirrors! We appreciated the prompt response/communication from Kris. We enjoyed walking north to Hug Point and south to Arch Cape Creek. Such a great place!

Unbelievable Ocean/Beach proximity and views!
Wonderful and well appointed, the Loft of Riley was spacious, clean, and comfortable. You are right on the beach with giant picture windows looking directly onto the beach and ocean. We loved watching the moody Oregon weather and getting out to the beach to play fetch! Thank you for a spectacular ocean getaway! Hope to return!

Always Amazing

This was a stunning property for a quick weekend getaway for my husband’s birthday. We lucked out with weather and got to enjoy the deck for a few great sunsets. The house was well furnished and had a great kitchen with everything we needed for dinners at home. We hope to return!

Delightful getaway spot
Loft of Riley was as we expected - stellar location, privacy, and well-appointed, comfortable house. The view can’t be beat, and private path to the beach is a plus. It was nice to be away from the crowds in Cannon Beach, but have the amenities there easily accessible. We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen was well stocked. The heated bathroom floors felt great on the cool days we were there, and we also appreciated the nice quality bedding and towels. We didn’t want to leave such a serene spot! And to top it off, Kris was great to work with. A+++!

This was our third stay at the Loft of Riley. The house is beautiful, the view is unbeatable, and the owners are amazing! The house has everything you would expect from such a gorgeous home, including heated floors in the bathrooms, plush towels, and comfortable bedding (and plenty of extra pillows and blankets). East meets west coastal
So impressive. We had such a fantastic stay. Six adults. Four children three and under. The property might be more easily suited to children a bit older but we made it work and work well. The only thing that might help would be if the light in the loft could also be controlled in the loft rather than at the bottom of the spiral staircase. A screen or door up there might also be helpful. Light from below seemed to be distracting. But these might be unique to us. One of the sleepers up there is an ICU doc so she has extreme blackout curtains in her house in Charleston. Our houses are craftsman, transitional and more mid century style. Your glorious contemporary home with its generous living area, great dining space and glorious views was so special for us. We all love to cook and found so much to enjoy in the kitchen. Beach access was terrific. And I have been informed of late so the ramp was very appreciated. Linens and sundries were all lovely. I appreciate the detail. Thank you for such a lovely experience. Hope to do it again. I know my daughter already gave you a quick reply. Hope you won’t mind a second.

This is the one!
There are no words to describe how breathtakingly beautiful this house (and the views) are. My family of four (plus our dog), my parents and my in-laws stayed for 5 days of pure awesomeness. Wonderful wrap around deck to enjoy the sunsets over the ocean or sit inside and play one of the numerous board games provided and enjoy the sunset from the huge floor to ceiling windows. Path to the beach is right through the backyard making morning strolls or sunset walks with your 4-legged friend a breeze. Best part is the ease of check in with the instructions provided by the owner and quick responses to any questions. You can tell the owners take pride in their property and have a strong desire to make sure everyone that visits has a wonderful time. We stayed the second week of March and plan to visit this exact property again sometime next summer. If you’ve come across this property in your search stop looking, you’ve found the place!!

Respite from the inland heat
It was so pleasant to escape the inland 100F temperatures and arrive back at the Loft of Riley in Arch Cape. It was in the upper 60's all week, a relief for all. This was our second stay here and, like our visit last year, the place was perfect. We did more cooking at the house this year, and the well-equipped kitchen served us well. The house's internet is fast, supporting all the streaming channels we enjoy at home. Most importantly, there's the beach. It's right there. You can't miss it.

The Loft of Riley was AMAZING property to stay at. The pictures were accurate, but the reality of the home was even better than I could have imagined! The place was spotless, and incredibly well stocked—the best I’ve stayed at. iIt was very roomy and our family of 5 could easily spread out. My personal favorite spot was in the lounger by the window. All cookware, appliances, kitchen tools, and flatware was in perfect shape. The pantry was well-stocked. There were very thoughtful touches, like some cold drinks and supplies for s’mores in the fridge, and k-cups and flavored creamers. The beds were super comfy in all the rooms. We enjoyed the guest house which gave a bit of extra privacy for parents. Beach access was incredibly convenient. The beach itself was HUGE and we had it to ourselves a lot of the time. Staying here was like staying at a friend’s house—we can’t wait to stay here again next year

Loft of Riley: Anniversary Get-Away = 5 STARS !!
The view is stunning! Very mesmerizing. Access to the beach is easy for nimble-footed grownups. It's a short, slightly-sloped, but rocky path right onto the beach. The house is one that we hope to visit again and bring another couple. The aesthetic is crisp, modern, yet totally comfortable. I didn't see a single bug or cobweb (my phobias!). The plush white towels, crisp white bed linens, and super comfortable mattresses will make you very happy. This is the home-away-from-home that all rentals should be measured by. (and I am a VERY picky person) Towel warmer, heated bathroom floor, clean tiles. And soft-close toilet seats! yes! those will make you want them in your own home! The neighborhood is private and easy for walking dogs. Wood fireplace with plenty of firewood available for your stay. My only caution is make sure you don't knock your head into the spiral staircase. We lined our dogs' toys up on them and never had an issue. Thanks Kris. We loved it.

Great family vacation.
This house was perfect for our three generations of family. The extra studio for the late risers meant the early to wake crew could move around, make coffee and watch the waves break first thing in the morning. Everything was as advertised- proximity to beach (steps away) - view from main room (stunning). Everything here - we never even went in to town. Thank you for opening your home to us.

Bright Comfy Cozy Beach House
Tucked away at the end of a narrow lane, the amazing secluded feeling of the Loft of Riley comes from native woods and hedges around the yard and driveway. Once inside the house, however, natural outdoor light floods the living spaces. It really feels like you're part of nature! Huge paned windows look out over a wide span of ocean and surf. There is an access trail on both the north and south sides of the property. However, two in our party could not make their way across the 25 foot rocky slope leading to the sandy beach. The rest of us did enjoy it, though. The interior space has modern design and thoughtfully appointed furniture, both comfy and stylish. The kitchen includes all utensils, pots, pans and appliances for large family meal prep. The outdoor barbeque and picnic space is excellent! The deck provides more fabulous views and comfort around three sides of the house! The listing was a small issue for us because one of us gets around on wheels. The listing comes up under an ADA search, but the house had a few challenges for our wheelchair-bound guy. For example, to fully access the interior of the house, as well as the toilet and shower, there were obstacles. The ramp into the house is not ADA compliant. It is much too steep for any wheelchair driver to ascend alone, even our guy who plays wheelchair basketball and is in excellent shape. In the bathrooms, there were no handrails in the shower or around the toilet, and there was a step to get over to get into the shower. Other than these issues, though, getting around inside the bedroom and living space of the house was easy for our mobility-challenged member. One other surprise was that the loft stairs were steep and narrow, a good thing for saving space, a bad thing for some people to climb. The loft was very fun for the child in our group, an 8-year old, but only two of the adults felt comfortable going up there. (We are not large people, either.) Finally, the low marks for cleanliness are only because of some black cobwebs up on the chandeliers and lofted ceiling. The rest of the house deserved all five stars for cleanliness. The floors, counters, bathrooms and kitchen were very clean, and all linens provided were pristine. If you don't need wheelchair access and don't mind a few cobwebs far above your head, you will not be disappointed with this property.

Beyond Our Expectations!
We are already planning our next stay at the wonderful Loft of Riley! The home is beautifully furnished and so well appointed! The spacious great room with huge windows is a fantastic setting for living and enjoying the amazing ocean view! The location couldn't be more perfect right on the spectacular Arch Cape Beach. Luxury at Oceans Edge!!
We arrived at the Loft of Riley after dark.. the home welcomed us with a beautiful Christmas tree and wonderful rain shower to wash away the drive. We woke up the next morning to be blown off our feet! The ocean is like literally right outside the house! It's mesmerizing.. I've never stayed so close! There was no beach at high high tide (but cannon beach is a short drive away) at low tide though there is a wide expanse if beach that we walked up and down. The views are just spectacular... We were confused about where everyone would stay, until we discovered the cosy guest outhouse. Kitchen was well stocked with spices and cooking supplies including a KitchenAid mixer for the bakers in the party! We stocked up on provisions from the awesome Fresh Foods store in south cannon beach (which is pcc like and had delicious stuff for all including our gluten free friend).. Kids loved the Xbox, the arcade and the sound and warmth of the log fire. The house had tons of board games too. Overall the best house we ever stayed at in the Oregon coast both in terms of location and amenities!
