Convenient

Comfy beds, useful if minimalist kitchen, surprisingly quiet for such a central location. Do note that the unit is upstairs with no elevator—not an issue for us, but could be for others. Also—the parking is tight, but we soon figured out to let passengers out before pulling into the spot.

Wonderful

The property was in good condition, clean and well supplied. Farmers market was in the plaza, walking distance. Lots of friendly locals and restaurants.

Great apartment in a wonderful place

This apartment was exactly as advertised. Very clean with comfortable beds! Arcata is such a cute town and you cannot beat the proximity to many Redwoods parks! We absolutely loved our stay!

The fireplace was wonderful, especially due to no heat with a power outage. The place was very clean and comfortable. Very close to downtown plaza and walkable to local shops and restaurants. Would LOVE to stay here again.

Great spot

The house was very clean and in a great location. A short walk (a couple blocks) to two grocery stores and several restaurants. The owners were very helpful and called me mid-stay to check in. I didn’t need anything, but I knew if I did I could contact them and get help. There were nice/thoughtful small touches like Keurig pods and microwave popcorn available.

Cozy apartment near Redwoods

This is a small but very nice apartment in the center of Arcata (there is some noise from the street but on the other hand within walking distance there are a few restaurants, cafes and stores), in close proximity to many Redwood parks. Super comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen - coffee pods and tea included which was a nice and unexpected surprise. Very easy self check-in and excellent communication with the host. Great value for money overall.

Nice apartment and owners was attentive and great with communication. We found it easily and it was just as described. There are many places to walk to nearby to get coffee or eat. The apartment was clean and comfy. It’s a pretty basic setup and was perfect for our needs. We were gone seeing the many wonderful area sites most of our time and enjoyed the place to sleep at night. Would recommend for this area.

Amazing Downtown Retreat

My family (myself, husband and two young boys) stayed here for 4 nights and had a great time. The accommodations were perfect. The beds were comfy, kitchen was stocked with the essentials to cook, and the living room was perfect to cozy up and unwind at the end of the day. We loved the proximity to downtown. We walked around, went to the farmers market on Saturday and even walked to a Crabs baseball game! Amazing location!! Highly recommend this spot and Larry was a great host-available and communicative! 5 stars for sure!

Arcata Stay

Loved the location which was walkable to everything we needed. Because the unit was upstairs, the natural sunlight was nice and it felt very private. We loved relaxing, cooking a few meals, and planning our next adventures. Thank you for all the surprise extras: microwave popcorn, small pack Oreos, olive oil and a few spices, scissors, nice selection of teas/coffee. Your place would be our first choice if we ever return!!! Highly recommended.

Perfect Getaway Spot

Fantastic location, and really comfortable accommodations. Appreciated that the rooms were identical so there was no "fighting" over who got which. Beds were SUPER comfortable and the linens and bedspread were designed for chilly Arcata evenings. Off street parking was tight for our SUV (Hyundai Palisade) so keep this in mind if you're in something larger like a Tahoe or Suburban. Absolutely stellar communication from the host. Already talking about returning and would absolutely stay here again.

Really nice. Beds really comfortable. Kitchen was nice. Enjoyed the fireplace too. Only wish the bedding was washed in unscented laundry soap. The smell of the laundry soap caused triggers in my sinuses. Also would have been nice to have a light go on in the parking area. Overall I would rent it again. Great central location to everything. Thank you.

Perfect rest stop

We booked this place between trips to see the Redwoods further south and National Redwood Forest in the north, it was the perfect ‘in between’ spot. The apartment was exactly as described/pictured, very easy to find and close to everything. I appreciated the designated parking and how easy it was to use the door code. There are plenty of fluffy towels and extra blankets and pillows, plus the beds are super comfortable. We didn’t really cook but the kitchen looked well appointed and there’s a Keurig for coffee and tea. It was also very quiet. We really enjoyed walking to the Plaza and other restaurants close by - the Salt Fish and Brio were standouts. There are a small number of homeless people in the neighborhood and our hostess at the restaurant told us the plaza can get a bit rowdy at night but overall we felt very safe. The rental was a great value too as it was priced better than a lot of similar accommodations around. Highly recommmend!

Visit to Redwoods

The apartment was clean and comfortable, just as described by owner. It was only a block off the square in Arcata so easy access to shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

A Great Little Place

We were in Arcata for a week to visit family. This VRBO was conveniently located to restaurants, grocery stores, shopping and walkable to the Marsh which is a bird sanctuary. The unit is cozy and is furnished with everything you need. It was located on the second floor. The washer and dryer is off the car port down below and it costs 3.50 to wash and dry a load. Make sure you have plenty of quarters. We found you had to wash the dishes and silverware before using as we discovered some were not clean because there is no dishwasher. We slept very comfortably. We would stay here again if we are in the area.

Family trip to Arcata, CA!

We loved our stay in Arcata. It's a classy VRBO with the perfect location near the center of town. The shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance from the property. The VRBO gets a 5 star rating for all the facilities including the heating and the WiFi. We look forward to renting this VRBO again!
