We were not expected and then was criticised for booking through Expedia because the $ the host received was a much smaller % compared to other booking groups! (I then learnt that Hotels.com is owned by Expedia!!) We got an 'upgrade' which was not necessary. The rest of the o/n stay was pleasant."

"A notre arrivée, l'hôtelier nous a dit qu'il n'y avait pas de réservation à notre nom, qu'il venait de racheter cet hôtel et que pour pouvoir y dormir, il fallait annuler notre réservation auprès d'hotel.com (ce qui était impossible sans perdre les 60 € déjà payés car il nous demandait une annulation pour le jour même) et qu'ensuite, il fallait le payer en espèces le prix de la chambre (environ 45 €).
