Very nice place to stay, location was great as well as the staff. Kids enjoyed the sleds, smores, and wildlife they got to see around the property. Will definitely stay here again!
A two day trip to escape the Texas heat! Cabin did not disappoint……recently renovated, great location in a very pretty setting in the mountains. Quiet with plenty of close-up encounters with deer and Oreo the cat! Will definitely rebook in the future. Cabin would be ideal for leaf peepers in the fall and golfers playing at Angel Fire.
Our experience was great! The location was perfect. We saw a herd of deer every morning. We walked the short path to get to the Slipper head Trail. The property manager responded in a timely manner when I messaged her about s'mores. The fire pit was awesome on a cold night after skiing all day.The cabin was clean and had plenty of ammenities. I highly recommend staying here. We want to plan another trip in the spring.
A beautiful, modern retreat! The kitchen was fully stocked with every pot, pan, plate, and spatula we could need—truly a home away from home. The campsite was just a scenic 7-minute drive from town, yet it felt perfectly secluded, exactly what we were looking for.A few things to keep in mind:-The pillows are quite thick, which may not suit everyone, but we were glad to have our travel pillows.-The showerhead had a relaxing rain feature, though the water pressure wasn’t quite strong enough for a thorough rinse. These are minor details that may vary by cabin and are easily adjustable. Overall, a fantastic stay—enjoy, y'all!
This is a very nice modern cabin. We stayed in November, and it was quiet and cool. The amenities were great. Communication with the property host was great. There are a couple of concerns, 1) the water pressure in the shower is not great, and 2) we are not a fan of the Sleep Number mattress.
My Sisters from Nebraska came to NM to visit and we had an awesome stay at the cabin. Everything was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for a fun night at the cabin! Highly recommend to relax and get away!
The property is modern, clean, and surrounded by trees. This was my second stay here and I've seen deer both times right outside the cabin. The kitchen is supplied with all that is needed and the bed is extremely comfortable. The property management is easy to contact and extremely helpful when needed. I can't wait to come back!
The cabin was very nice and clean and the views were beautiful. The hammock is a nice touch. Enjoyed seeing the deer, birds, and the cute cats. I have one idea for the cabins. Since Oreo and Ghost like to visit I think the cabins should have cat treats in them so we have something to give them besides wheat thins. 🙂
Couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. The cabin far exceeded our expectations. The onsite staff were great at communicating via text/email and we will definitely be back!
We loved our stay so much that we extended it by 2 days! On site manager Aly is awesome! She is extremely helpful and makes sure everything is perfect. When we decided to extend the cabin we were in was booked and she moved us into another with no problems. Hope to be back soon!
We were very pleased with our stay at The Retreat at Angel Fire. The cabins were nice and clean. The custom handmade soap and other perishables were such a nice touch. The water pressure and temperature provided the best shower ever, especially after a day of driving or outdoor activities. The location was lovely: proximity to ‘downtown’ Angel Fire was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed being able to walk from our Cabin to hop on the Lady Slipper Trail. The service and regular communication with the property manager was top notch. We were texted each day to see if our trash needed to be picked up or if we needed anything. It was truly a retreat.
The property needs updating and that seems to be in process. For the price, it was very good. We would have liked a washer and dryer and assumed that all VRBO properties had one as all the others we stayed at did. The bed was very comfortable. We liked the quality of the linens. Aly, the manager was absolutely delightful and very responsive to any request. She gets the highest marks.
The Retreat at Angel Fire is a great place to get away. It is south of town only a mile or so. Easy access to town. Beautiful location and management stayed in touch thru text and email to take care if any issues did arise. Clean and very comfortable. Will certainly look to go back.
We were in Angel Fire in late March, so the town was quiet, but our cabin was perfect for our family. Clean and nice. Wifi was good for streaming at night. There are a lot of deer passing through the property all day long which really adds to the experience. I have to come back to Angel Fire a few more times in the next 6 weeks and I'll be booking here again soon.
Super easy process and amazing communication, we where traveling in bad weather conditions and the property owner did his best to keep us up to speed on the changing conditions.
We had a great time at our stay! The property was beautiful, quiet and peaceful. There were a family of deer that roamed the property daily. It is only a couple of minutes from the ski area. The management was very responsive and would text us daily asking us if we needed anything. The cabin was clean and had all the necessary items we needed.
This place was beyond our expectations! Cabin was very clean, and equipped with everything you need! Great location! Management did everything to make us feel welcomed. We really appreciated personalized Santa’s letter and Christmas card. They gave us a Gingerbread house kit that my kids loved it! This was perfect winter vacation! We will definitely be back!
