"Hello, it was lovely stay and area, we just found a few things that could have been improved. I thought I should pass on in case it’s helpful.My partner injured himself on the sharp plants outside and my dad on the stair handrail twice as the edges of the wood are quite sharp. The yard had a lot of old dried dog poo so I picked up some of it from high traffic areas so that we were less likely to keep stepping in it and so that our dog could explore the yard.The iron at the property does not work.And a small improvement could be to leave a few more supplies for longer stays ie toilet paper and dishwashing tablets - we only had enough for two or three nights. It was lovely otherwise, we especially enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the birds at sunset, very special. Thanks again. "

"We stayed for 3 nights with our friends and family. We have spent a lot of time in the area as locals, but needed bigger accommodation for the rest of the tribe. Overall we enjoyed our stay, Venus bay is a special place, quiet and beautiful, with easy access to the Ocean and inlet, and beautiful walks at point smythe. Trudy the property manager was very helpful and easy to communicate with, although there was some miscommunication around check in time, that wasn't received well by the other staff upon arrival to collect keys.We also felt a bit stressed about the water - having received a phone call to be mindful of water usage due to the dry Summer. We felt that wasn't our issue to stress about as its easy enough to get the water tank filled in preparation for guests arrival. We are always mindful of water usage but it is the responsibility of the owner and managers to ensure they can comfortably house the allocated number of guests during Summer. We were also disappointmen to find the house was unclean upon arrival, we had to clean and dust before the rest of our friends came. There were cobwebs everywhere, the oven door was covered in greasy marks, there were still crumbs on the bench top and on the cupboard doors and water all over the sink. For 1100 we expected better then that. The location was good, a quiet street with the sounds of the ocean to fall asleep to and a nice expansive view from the balcony.After a few hiccups in the lead up we relaxed in and enjoyed it"
