"This hotel was completely misrepresented online. There is no spa, no sauna, no spa, no breakfast, no restaurant. The suite was dirty, there were no towels, no shampoo, conditioner or body wash, no hot water in the shower and there was standing water in it when we went to turn it on. The sink would not drain. The hotel itself is very basic, you need to ask the reception before taking a shower for warm water, and we needed to ask for a second towel every day, as we only received one towel for two people. Nevertheless the staff was very happy to help with this. The hotel is only a 15min walk from the main square, so I can recommend the hotel if you are looking for a budget...

Then it would not turn on, once we got someone to help us turn it on (they had to go downstairs and turn on a breaker) the water shot out tons of black stuff from the jets. We sent multiple messages asking for help and they simply quit responding. Then there was a huge party on the first floor that was so loud we could here it with clarity from our third floor room with the door closed; this went on well past midnight and we had to get up and leave for an excursion at 3:30 AM. This was a horrible experience and I'm completely disappointed with how grossly misrepresented it is online. "

We stay in hotels well over 100 nights a year, and Antigua Casona San Blas is truly something special.
During our recent trip to Peru, even after experiencing beautiful properties like the JW Marriott Cusco and the Belmond Colca Canyon, there was something uniquely magical about this hotel.
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm, charming, and intimate. Every corner has character, and the entire property carries a peaceful, soulful energy.
The staff were absolutely wonderful. Genuinely kind, attentive, and thoughtful. On the morning of our departure, they even sent us off with breakfast, which was such a lovely and memorable touch.
We also had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious!
Antigua Casona San Blas is charming, soulful, and quietly exceptional!"
